Excellent, fresh authentic Mexican food made locally. Prepared immediately upon order. Friendly and quick service. Reasonably priced a La carte options, posted above order window. Simple presentation. No frills setting. Somewhat Noisy due to tvs or guests or kitchen staff. But, very delicious authentic tamales, tacos served on corn tortillas, sopa, etc. with very tasty Horchata.

Thank you for tamales, the first ones I have had in 10 years. They were awesome, just like the ones that I love from my friends in Texas. You will find them at the Farmers Market on Finkey Avenue. Small spot but filled with lots of hungry people wanting authentic Mexican food. Go to Taco Bell if you want ground beef, lettuce, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and hard flour tortillas but RUN to Taqueria LA Herradura if you want authentic, fresh ingredients such as tomatoes, corn and beans, with traditional spices, such as chiles and coriander, with fresh, soft corn tortillas.

This place is definitely one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Birmingham. This was my first visit and it was beyond delicious. I had a large steak burrito, and a chicken taco and I almost ate the box it came in because everything was so delicious! I haven’t had tacos and burritos this great since I left California. It’s located in the Farmers Market, and makes for a great lunch spot if you happen to be out shopping. I can’t wait to get back and explore all the awesome menu options. I would’ve posted photos, but I ate it all soooooo quick
