Stopped in for the first time for lunch while having my car serviced at Brakes Plus in the same section of the complex. Tables inside were full, which doesn’t surprise me given the 115 degree temps outside. I mozied up to the bar and took one of possibly 20 stools. The tag team bartenders were very attentive. They brought complementary chips and salsa and I ordered a drink to enjoy while I looked over the extensive menu. I chose the lunch special chimichonga which came out quickly (despite the large sit down crowd) and was both huge and delicious. There is a large outdoor patio that was empty, but ready for customers to brave the heat along with three or four huge swamp coolers waiting for some action. I was told that a misting system is also being installed soon. So, don’t miss out on this new Verrado area dining option. The bar area is also a great place to meet up with a friend or two. Who in their right mind decided to make this location SO SMALL!? “Hey, let’s build a new locations after 20 years, in a part of the state that virtually has NO sit down restaurants and a large growing population, but with only about 20 table tops, the bar and outdoor seating we can only use part of the year. It’ll be great!” The cheese crisp is smaller as well, but the same price. I would rather drive farther, it feels small and cramped, more like a Carambas or Cafe Rio feel rather than an actual sit down restaurant. They are going to be busy due to lack of options, but had it been the size of a normal Macayo’s, they would make more money. So disappointed, lived out here for 10+ years and this is what we get. Ill just drive to Arriba’s.

Great location! We often sit in the bar area when we go and have never had a bad experience. Great addition to the area and would recommend to anyone looking for a friendly, laidback (if not occasionally loud/hectic) atmosphere.

Not a good setup for the location. Dining area is much too small. Outside looks more like a fast food joint. Besides that, the food is pretty much what you would expect. Good not great. Our server was on point though, and very attentive but the atmosphere, heat, and flies distracted from her awesome work

This was my first time at this location. My mom and I had just left the Goodyear Macayo’s after HORRIBLE service (mostly just lack of service completely) and were hoping for a better experience and to actually get to eat dinner this time. Well, the service was OUTSTANDING! Our server was Gemini and she was EXTREMELY personable and very attentive! I was extremely impressed with how she was totally on top if everything and it was pretty busy when we were there. I could not have been happier with the service she provided! The food was also excellent and came out of the kitchen very quickly. I HIGHLY recommend this new Macayo’s location! Especially over the Goodyear one. That one has severely gone downhill! Thank you, Gemini for saving my my and my mom’s evening by your wonderful service! We will definitely be returning!

This location doesn’t feel like the Macayo’s we are use to. When we walked in we specifically asked the hostess where we need to sit for happy hour. She pointed to the left of the hostess stand or outside. Outside was not an option for us because it was 110 outside. A booth in the area she pointed to was opening up. We asked her if we could sit there. She said yes once the table is cleaned, handed us menus, and we seated ourselves. A waitress greeted us immediately. We were ordering drinks when the waitress informed us happy hour wasn’t valid at this booth. We told her the hostess said we could sit here for happy hour and she still said happy hour isn’t valid here. A gentleman (possibly a manager) was walking by and she explained the situation. He didn’t even acknowledge us and just said we could sit on the patio (again it’s 110 outside). Then the waitress said, really you are only saving $1 so do you want to order? They refused to honor what the hostess told us so we decided to leave without ordering. In our opinion they should have honored what the hostess told us and re-trained her for future customers. Per the waitress, we were only saving a few dollars so what’s the big deal. Extremely poor customer service at this location!

My husband and I both got sick from the food. After a few bites from our plates we couldn’t eat anymore. It was like eating chewy salt. The pork in the burro I ordered did not look fully cooked. I also had a tortilla soup and there was some type of a root or leaf. It’s was very tough and definitely was not meant to be eaten. The only redeeming quality was the server was very nice. I had to ask for my beverage a couple times but he was nice overall. The atmosphere was alright it seemed like half of the restaurant is a nice sit down and they gave up half way and it turns into a fast food place with cramped seating. So very disappointed, there are very few options around this area and it feels like such a waste.

This restaurant is a joke as I always give a new business a second or third chance . . . appears to be managed by someone who is not qualified on training and employing staff with a focus on customer service. Totally rookie staff, who I place the blame squarely on the management team.
