We took a seat in the first empty booth but when the waitress saw us she reseated us in a larger booth as she thought we looked cramped—such a considerate server! Following her recommendations we had the homestyle (fresh, hand made pattie’s) whopper burgers. Very flavorsome with nice ripe tomatoes and mild onion slices. Onion rings were very good and the crinkle fries were okay. Finished with a scoop of Mayfield ice cream. Overall an excellent casual dining experience in a clean, friendly restaurant that appears very popular with the locals.

This was the Homestyle Cheeseburger Basket. The slaw is homemade and everything is absolutely delicious!!! Now they don’t take plastic so bring cash or a check. They daily lunch specials too which sell out fast and are also delicious! The staff is always friendly there! Definitely a family oriented cafe!

Really great food for a fantastic price, one of our favorites since we moved to the area, however they need to get it together. They closed for months with absolutely no warning or notice. Opened back up, however half the time you show up when they’re supposed to be open and they’re closed with no notice! Today was the final straw for me…I called to place a to go order at 12:30 PM and the woman who answered the phone rudely told me they were closed. Oh, well ok then. Sadly, we’ve officially given up on Dairy Mart.

Food was good and reasonably priced. There was only one person waiting on tables and it got busy real quick. We ordered breaded deep fried mushrooms as our appetizer but they was forgotten so we didn’t receive them till after we got our meal. Still have a 5 star rating for service because like I said only one waitress so I definitely know how hectic things can get. Definitely will be back.
