I loved Papa Johns & decided to introduce to my new wife. I had to convince her that it would be better than Dominoes. The 1st delivery time was a little delayed but the Pizza arrived and she enjoyed it. Another night she was starving and asked me to order it again. This occasion it took nearly 2 hrs to arrive. After being hung up on, extended time on hold, the staff member finally located our pizza. When it arrived it was ice cold. They offered to send us a free pizza for our next order. A week later we decided to order the free one and they stated there was no record of it. After a little back and forth the employee that offered it to us remembered. We ordered our regular order with what they had a record of. Instead of making it the way that we requested, they literally put most of the ingredients in the middle of the pizza. My pregnant wife picked off the ingredients she didn’t like since she was hungry. To our surprise, a week later we received a free cheese pizza card in the mail. It was welcomed after an extremely busy and long day. Hoping to add ingredients online, we discovered that the free pizza couldn’t be altered even though we expected to pay for them. After being disconnected and eventually placed on hold for roughly 20min I was greeted by a seemingly unhappy and angry employee. I asked if I could place the promotional order through her and she angrily said “No. You have to call customer service for that.” I took a second to process why and said, “Uh Ok. So how can I…” The young woman said, “OK.” and then hung up. Shocked, annoyed and hungry, I contacted customer service. After a short wait a young woman told me that it was at the discretion of the store location to add the topping and determine the cost. At that moment I had to work out in my mind whether or not I was handling a legal suit or ordering a pizza. I expressed my aggravation and she said she would contact the store and ask them to add my toppings, determine the cost for me but I would have to return a call to the store. Why do I have to call Louisville, KY to correctly order a pizza in White Plains, NY? I expressed my concern of having to wait another 30min or more for someone to pick up. She stated that she would request it. After spending roughly an hour on the phone I was told I would only be given 1 complimentary topping. I was instructed to note it in the “Drivers Instructions” by customer service. Frustrated and tired, I agreed. I’m presently waiting on the pizza to arrive although I have little faith that it will show up at all with who knows what on it. I must be honest that this has been one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. My wife and I are not confident that, if we ever ordered a pizza again from Papa Johns, it would be of any quality. It’s sad for me because I have fond memories of eating Papa Johns in my college years but as an adult I must let it go. My wife won’t stand for our family to order from them ever again. I would have loved to have shared it with our future children.

It would be nice if they delivered to my house, seeing as it is only a 10 minute drive, but they claim it is not in their area to deliver to. So, I get to sit there and listen to these classless employees (and I even think the manager of the night) call each other by racial slurs, throw stuff at one another, and watch as they pick food from orders that don’t belong to them and eat pieces. Very classy stuff. I’ve been to dive bars in bad neighborhoods where the patrons and employees have more class than the people who work here, as they talk about cocaine use and scream that racist word that starts with an N at the top of their lungs, as me and other customers sit there waiting for their orders to come up. Now that there is an auto parts store next door, I get to watch as the staff spend more time outside playing around with local hooligans’ cars than spending time at their job, which explains why my food is not ready when I call it in so it will be good to go when I arrive. But, I guess instead I get to sit there and wait and wait and wait and have fodder to write about in a review for all to see that this place is run by classless buffoons.
