As a tourist, you have to try hot chicken while in TN so we checked out Hattie B’s. It was good. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The sides were good. The service was great (from the cashier to the server to the woman that cleared our plates). It was nothing to write home about but it was good. Atmosphere was typical BBQ restaurant style. Glad we got a taste of what TN is known for. Probably wouldn’t recommend the banana pudding.

It’s no Princes but is quenches my thirst for a spicy chicken sandwhich. Always a huge piece of fried chicken. I was feeling bold today so I decided to try the “damn hot” option. I can tell you it is not for the weak. The regular is most people’s extra hot and the damn hot is most folks suicide option. I also ordered the crinkle cut fries and the black eyed pea salad. I couldn’t eat it all.

First time trying one of the Hattie B’s restaurants, and loved it! Fingers meal is a great value. I recommend getting 2/1 of two flavors. The two spiciest options are truly for enthusiasts only, but won’t make fans sick from being too spicy. Really enjoyed the cheesy grits, too.

This was my first time going and I was excited to go but was so disappointed afterward. The atmosphere in the restaurant is complete VIBES! I enjoyed the chicken ONLY!!! I was so disappointed in all the sides. I did not expect to throw away half of my food. We spent over $50 for 3 people. Thank God I went with my gut to get my Autistic son the chicken sandwich with fries because that would have been complete chaos.

The Hattie B’s in Memphis is comparable to the one in Nashville. The service was quick (went late on a Saturday night), and the establishment was well kept. Pretty exterior and interior with plenty of room to sit, but parking can be difficult if they are busy since their parking lot is limited. The chicken is flavorful, but it is on the greasier side since they will dip it in the hot oil. The sides are amazing. Do get their bacon cheddar grits and pimento mac and cheese.

The restaurant was clean, neat & tidy. The staff were nice & friendly. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! I ordered the mild chicken tenders which were nice, crisp & seasoned well along with the pimento macaroni & cheese, southern greens and peach cobbler for dessert. Everything was good. I had a pleasant experience. You will not be disappointed!!

This was by far the best restaurant we visited while in Memphis. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. I ordered medium because I was scared to try anything spicer. It was great. Had just enough heat and still enjoyable.

As always, food was fantastic! Hot and mild chicken, bacon cheddar grits, pimento mac-n-cheese, and greens – out of this world!

If you like spicy hot chicken like my wife, you will love Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. This is not a drive through restaurant. The inside is large, several TVs on various walls with an “outside area” that’s pretty enclosed. Service was friendly, fast and more than enough staff available. She had the medium heat sandwich that she said was great. I had the mild 1/2 bird that was to me, a bit spicy. Be warned, and they do give you heat levels. This place is very popular.
