I was super underwhelmed which is disappointing because I had their catering at a birthday party and loved the food. We ordered takeout on a Friday night. The honey crispy calamari was soggy and the portions were so small. The bolognese sauce had flavor but was watery. Bread was hard.

We have been eating at Cosimo’s since I was 18 months (shh I’m almost 40!!) We always have our family events here, from birthdays to baptisms to first communion which we just had there for my twins! Our server was non-attentive to my party of 4. Her attitude was borderline rude and very dismissive. To make matters worse, she added a 15% gratuity to our bill. When I called and asked a manager if this was a customary practice I was given a few different responses but was ultimately told that parties of 4 don’t typically get charged a gratuity but the server might have FELT that we (the customers) weren’t going to tip adequately or at all. I responded that although gratuities are not required, I was always taught to leave at least 20% in cash for the server and that was my intention. I guess this didn’t matter since we didn’t give the server the impression that we would leave an adequate amount. I can’t help but wonder what gave the server the impression that we wouldn’t tip adequately…. TIPS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE SERVER??? No thanks!

The food is very good. The people who work here are very nice. It’s a large yet cozy restaurant. There is a fireplace and the windows in front are great for people watching. The first time I went here I thought it was a pizzeria, but when you walk in, the restaurant is to the left. I’ve eaten in and recently had take out. Every experience here has been top notch. Reasonably priced and BYOB!
