Ate here on 4/21/23. We were new patrons so we accidentally ordered to go instead of in-house (our fault). The gentleman who served us our food apologized for the mix-up and brought us waters anyways. The food….. top notch, and the service and atmoshphere was great as well.

It is truly a hidden gem in Lawton. Their barbecue smoked meats are amazing. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with kindness and received great hospitality. The entire staff was wonderful. Definitely going back with the family.

I’ve done two west pacs and been around the world twice. I have eaten barbecue from California to Virginia to Florida. This is the best food you will ever eat in your life. My last meal will be John and Cook’s BBQ and I will die a happy man. I miss you so bad Mr. Cook. The world is a lesser place without your smiling face.

A different flair of sauce flavor for a good change, more of a chili emphasis, which was unexpected. Unfortunately the ribs and pulled pork were pretty dry, which had me using more sauce that covered most of the flavor. I would love to catch the meat straight out of resting from the smoker for more true taste. The cafe style dining area was quaint and a nice home town feel. Not a full chili inspired BBQ fan, but only lowering to 4 stars for the dryness of the meat.
