Root & Bone is a beautiful restaurant! The food quality is great. Biscuits were delicious, but only came 2 to an order. It would be great to see an expansion on their options for Vegetarians so that I know I can enjoy many visits with my family. The Staff is welcoming and service is quick!

Two words: angel biscuits. Perhaps the most delicious biscuit I’ve ever had in my life. Excellent comfort food and a long list of delicious cocktails. Our server was wonderful and so helpful with recommendations. We will absolutely be going back!

We’re always down to try new soulfood restaurants, and we’re happy that we tried this one. We ordered the half fried chicken, fries, and Asparagus. The chicken was brined in sweet tea, and I could tell. The Brine left the chicken so juicy, even the breast was juicy! The asparagus was perfectly grilled and has some type of lemonade aioli on the plate that complemented it perfectly. Last but no least the fries were fried to perfection, they had the perfect crunch. Everything tasted excellent, the only nitpick I have is that the food took pretty long to come out (around 30 minutes). I recommend this place is you’re in the area.

An absolutely perfect place to enjoy our anniversary dinner. The food is delicious and fresh. Our server, Trinity, was fantastic – so kind and attentive with great recommendations. We enjoyed drinks, drunken devil eggs, our entrees, and dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant!

What a gem just south of the craziness of Broad Ripple. From the first moment we walked in the wait staff treated us just like family. Our waitress ( Lindsey) was very attentive and knowledgable about the drink and food choices. The appetizers were awesome and the food was as good as it gets. I recommend the shrimp and grits but of course the fried chicken and ribs are just as good. If I could give 10 stars I would!! If you are in Indy for any reason please vome out and celebrate at the Root and Bone.

We came on a Saturday morning for brunch and it was delightful! Place was empty at 10 but filled up by 11. Our server Destinee was great. My wife and I shared 3 small plates and a side and it was just right. Loved being able to try lots of different things. We’ll be back for dinner sometime soon!

Nice atmosphere. Food was good. Definitely recommend getting the fried chicken. Their take on meatloaf was good (short rib meat) but I wasn’t a fan of the tomato jam. Drunken deviled eggs were just okay. Gooey corn souffle was tasty.

This place was really cute and the food was good too! Borderline expensive but not too terrible. We had the Hotcakes, biscuits and gravy, grits, and pickled vegetables. The Hotcakes had a charred plum compote on it that I expected to be sweet but it wasn’t. It wasn’t bad but it was definitely different! The biscuits and gravy were good! We also got the pickled vegetables.

Mediocre service and food is a bit overpriced. We had to wait at the front several minutes before being acknowledged. Once seated I waited over 20 minutes for my water glass to be refilled despite the waitress walking pass at least 3x seeing my empty glass. The waitress was unattentive. I don’t wanna make it a race thing but after reading other reviews and seeing how whites were more attended to idk. Overall the restaurant has nice asthetics but kind tight seating. The deviled eggs were different and not in a good way. The fried chicken that comes with the chicken and waffles was good but the waffle and syrup not so much. The syrup has a very strong I believe maple taste. The hotcakes come topped with something that shouldnt be on pancakes…the topping tasted like onion and some type of fruit it was gross. Basically they tried to hard to fancy up items and sadly ended ruining them. Due to the overpriced items and Mediocre service I would not return.
