Favorite Mexican restaurant on the coast. The staff are amazing, so friendly and accommodating. I ordered a ‘skinny margarita’ and it was delicious. The view is beautiful, we spotted a few whales. The food was so fresh, homemade tortilla chips served warm. Everything was very tasty, served with a smile and a fantastic view.

If you’re cruising highway 101 going through Depot Bay and feel like eating Mexican food, stop at Mazatlan. The food is great and the customer service is excellent. The cherry on top is the binoculars each table get for whale watching . And yes! We did see whales today and it was awesome.

It was really great. 4.5 out of 5 stars for our family. We are pretty picky about our Mexican food. Everything was fabulous except a couple vegetables I don’t care for in my a la crema. The sauce was fabulous and the Camerones big and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed everything. And the Chile relleno being hand dipped is hard to find and delicious!

The food was most excellent (I had pork fajitas), as was the atmosphere and service. Several times, the owner/manager stopped by to see that everything was to our liking. The waitperson also stopped by a few times and was happy to chat with us a bit about the spices the cook used for my fajitas. This Depoe Bay location it’s smaller than the one in Lincoln Bay, but more comfortable and it also has a wonderful view of the beach. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the Oregon coast.

Wow, what a fabulous find. Great Mexican food, flawless service, and perfect for whale watching while you eat. I live in Tucson, AZ known for great authentic mexican food, and this place is every bit as good. They even loaned us binoculars so we could spot the spouting wales!

I ordered tonight maybe some of the best offerings in the many years I’ve eaten here. I ordered the NY steak dinner, which was pretty tender and a bargain with the salad and fries that came with it. I also ordered the Chicken Ranchera, which I tried for the first time, and I loved it. Instead of being in a sauce, which I try to avoid for health reasons, it was marinated in a tasty marinade and chargrilled, just what I wanted in a healthier choice. I will be ordering it a lot more in the future. Highly recommend!

THE BEST MEXICAN food along the Oregon coast. I go once a week. Courteous service, excellent food and a great view. So reasonably priced. Great appetizer, too. Service is A+. Highly recommend if you enjoy real Mexican food. Incredible specials. Vegans… a menu for you. Try their vegan tamales!

Very good food and service. Although a small restaurant (we had 14 people) they accommodated us at 3 tables. An extensive menu that accommodated 2 of our vegetarians, 1 vegan, 2 children and 10 picky eaters. This was perfect and they were so nice about it. A must eat place.
