Playa Bowls truly impressed me with their Nutella acai bowl. The blend of creamy Nutella with the refreshing acai base created a harmonious balance of flavors that left me craving every spoonful. The bowl was generously topped with a medley of fresh fruits, granola, and a drizzle of Nutella, adding both texture and natural sweetness to the experience. The attention to detail in presentation and the use of high-quality ingredients were evident in every bite. Playa Bowls’ Nutella acai bowl is an absolute treat for anyone looking to indulge in a delicious and satisfyingly wholesome snack. Slightly hectic inside during lunch hours but I received my bowl within 8ish minutes. Not too shabby

The food was great like always. The service was absolutely horrible. If I could give 0 stars for the service I would. The workers were extremely rude and ignored you when trying to ask about your order. One of the workers relatives or friend was trying to get behind the counter and was spraying them with the cleaning supplies and hovering over peoples food which made me extremely uncomfortable. It was extremely unprofessional and I have never experienced such a bad experience at playa bowls. I had to wait 40 minutes for a singular bowl I placed online. I asked one of the lady workers if it was ready 2 times and she just walked away and ignored me. It’s just unprofessional and I have been to this playa bowls a countless amount of times and I have NEVER experienced this. I am extremely upset.

The place was very clean and fun. We loved the acai bowls they were very refreshing after the beach. The most important Fruits were fresh and good portioned. Good price for the quality of the food and service. Great location by the beach. Smoothies were tasty too. Highly recommend this place

I went to this playa bowls twice. Once was packed and I waited 30 minutes. I understand the wait and I don’t like to complain. The second time it was considerably less crowded. My friend and I order a bowl and a smoothie. Her bowl arrived after 40 minutes. We told the staff with apologies about complaining because we don’t like to do it after 30 minutes. Then after 45 minutes we told them that we hadn’t gotten my smoothie. They then looked up the order and printed it out. They had seemingly forgotten about my smoothie. They then did not apologize and told us they were making it. After an hour, I went to the register and told them about this situation and how I lived 3 hours away and couldn’t wait. They never apologized but recognized the order name. They knew we were missing our smoothie but didn’t make it while making other smoothies. They asked if I wanted a refund. I never got an apology. I love playa bowls but this is unacceptable. If you go, prepare to wait for a long time.

I am a local in long branch and am in this location at least one time a week. I also used to work at the Holmdel location. I ordered a fruit bowl. They proceeded to add each fruit on top of the $8. What is the $8 for? Usually they “substitute” all of the fruits. I paid $15 for just the fruit no base. The girls were not helpful. There was no manager there. Instead of coming back, I would rather just make it at home.

You should put up signage to tell people where the online order pick up is. It may sound stupid, but there is 0 way to see into the store when the line is down the block. Even when you walk in you’d never know unless you ask someone. Don’t plan on getting much of anything except acia. The Staten Island location is much better. Will not be back to this one

Rode on a motorcycle from Rahway just to come to this place. Looking forward to my favorite Tropical Acai bowl and they have no more pineapple. How does a place that only serves fruit run out of fruit? Ordered nothing and went to the one in Asbury park. And the tables outside were just horrible and disgusting. I’m glad I didn’t get anything.

I come here a couple times every week and they usually get my order right so I can’t complain, but there are just some times where the quality isn’t there so it’s just frustrating given that I spend around $20 every week at this store and sometimes it’s reliable and sometimes it’s not. The main issue is the smoothies, a lot of times the smoothies are not fully blended so there are chunks of fruit at the bottom of the cup that get stuck in the straw and are just unpleasant to have in my smoothie. In addition to that, there have been times where they forget to put a peanut butter drizzle on the cup. But there are also issues with my oatmeal order, I will order an oatmeal bowl with half acai and half oatmeal — expecting it to be half hot oatmeal and half acai. Unfortunately, the bowl will be overflowing with acai and contain barely any oatmeal — along with the fact that the acai and oatmeal get mixed together (and does not taste very good). I don’t want to completely talk down upon this business because there are times where the quality of the food is great, but it is just very inconsistent (and therefore frustrating as a frequent customer).
