I got the omakase to go (both of the sample boxes) and was blown away by the quality. This was my first time trying uni as well as fresh truffle with wagyu and it did not disappoint. Will definitely be coming back on my trip to NY next year. Incredible service as well – they threw in a free tuna roll and two small bottles of sake. SO appreciated their commitment to great service.

Been to a couple of the more affordable omakase on the price spectrum and this was by far the best for the price. The sushi was fresh and tasty, although a lot of them had strong sauces which took a bit away from the natural fish flavor. This would be a personal preference thing, some like heavily sauced and strong tastes, others like it simple and fresh. I think it had a decent balance.

This place has become one of my favorite omakase restaurants. Each piece was so decadent and the toro pieces were so buttery I couldn’t believe it was fish. My favorite piece was the salmon and foie gras. It literally exploded in your mouth in a way I’ve rarely experienced before. There was only one piece that had a little too much wasabi that it made me cry but it was still good. The chef I had was definitely more on the quieter side but as an introvert I didn’t mind but I can see how the lack of chef interactions can be disappointing to others. I’ve had omakase more expensive than this one but this one has become more memorable for me. Definitely recommend this place for other omakase foodies.

The chef was really nice and my favorites were the chuu-toro (medium fatty tuna), oo-toro (very fatty tuna), and amaebi (sweet shrimp)! The wagyu beef roll was very nice too!

Last minute dinner plans turned into a chic & relaxing experience. We sat for the 6:15 seating (recommend to arrive on time) and we’re very impressed with the soft ambience. The reservation is timed and they switch over fast (70 min dinning experience) so be prepared for a quicker dinner. The bar seats 16 people only and created a very intimate vibe. Old reviews stated BYOB, but they now have their liquor license and offer sake and beer. They offer 15 courses covering a wide variety fish from tuna, toro, eel, red snapper, and more. Our favorite was the Waygu beef with truffle! We loved the staff, the food, and experience. Totally recommend!

My dear friend decided upon Sanyuu as a last minute choice for our mutual birthdays a few weeks ago. Sushi tends to be a thing with us and we are very, very picky. We did not have a reservation and called hoping for the best. They did not disappoint! The sushi was sumptuous, the service was warm and accommodating and the atmosphere tasteful and unassuming. They even sang happy birthday to us and provided a beautiful dessert compliments of the house. I will definitely be back.

This sushj Omakase is definitely the place that I would go back again for dinner. They have quite unique preparations and tastes (I haven’t been to many Omakase before) and the fish was fresh. I love how the chef was so concentrate on making the rolls too.

The food was okay, you could get a much better tasting omasake for the same price range. The whole experience was rushed from start to finish, no interaction whatsoever from the chefs which were making the pieces in a hurry, (2 chefs were working on our pieces at the same time which was odd for omasake). The other chef working by himself and serving other guests was doing much better taking his time. There was also an unpleasant smell coming into the restaurant.

The omakase was excellent as well as service. Highly recommended. My only complaint is that it felt very rushed.

This was a fantastic experience! I know that this is the way, but having to go through all those courses in less than 45minutes is not quite my personal way to enjoy food. Glad I had this experience nonetheless. The staff and drinks were good too
