Our dinner at the Trailhead Restaurant was truly a memorable experience. The outdoor seating provided an unmatched setting, offering breathtaking mountain views that significantly enhanced our dining. My choice of fish and chips turned out to be a delight, striking a perfect balance of flavor and crispness. Considering the quality of the food and the ambiance, I am certainly looking forward to revisiting the Trailhead Restaurant during my next trip to Estes Park.

Everything there was wonderful. Great atmosphere, great views, outstanding service (thanks Tony) and delicious food! We had the Trailhead Mountain Man Burger, Buffalo Burger and a Grilled Cheese with Bacon. It was a great experience!

We had a quick stop here to get a snack after our hike. I got the vegetarian soup of the day and chicken strips. Nice ambience.

After a nice day of hiking, we wanted a good beer and some lunch. Came across this gem. They had bonkers views of the mountains and plenty of seating the place itself doubled as a little gift shop. Plenty of hats, shirts, mugs, all sorts of totchkes.

The elk stew was good, more like a chili though, my husband ordered a bison burger, and there was a portion that was very undercooked and he ended up in the bathroom a lot later….. but he said it tasted good . Attached to a large gift shop which was fun to look around, good mountain view on the deck where we ate, can barely see the nearby river, does directly overlook a parking lot, so just don’t look down .

Good was tasty and different with wild game burgers! We enjoyed it! The view from the patio with the running water around and view in the distance was splendid!

Got a to go order right before heading into the park, and was not disappointed. I usually don’t like tomatoes but this place may have changed my mind! The breakfast sandwich was also very delicious. Am very happy we went here. The views from inside were really good too, if we had more time we would’ve stayed longer for sure. Service was very nice and helpful.

My elk burger, ordered medium rare, was pretty dry. And since it had none of the standard burger toppings, was also boring. My wife’s sweet potato fries were also overcooked and very crispy. And my drink order was forgotten about twice. All that said, the rest of the food was very good, the chili was amazing, and the ambience was very nice. With just a bit of work, this place could be great!

While the location had quite the view and the servers were quite friendly and helpful, the food was awful. It was edible, but the $4 add on chicken noodle soup before my meal tasted like it came from a can and had a single piece of chicken in it. Afterwards, my $40 steak came out in a single bowl, on top of the veggies and potatoes. I ordered a medium steak that came well done and was burnt on the outside, the veggies were underdone, and the potatoes were hardly seasoned. I ordered a $12 drink that was supposedly a lavender lemonade, it came out tasting like water and vodka. They also do not warn and automatically add gratuity. I didn’t realize until after I had already given a tip. Again, the view was beautiful, the service was wonderful, but if you’re going to charge an arm and leg, add a gratuity charge, and it’s a place for people to eat, it should at least taste good.
