First time here and the food is decent. Lots of choices and some authentic Caribbean dishes, all weight by pound for $12.99. Some were flavorful and some were a little bland but it’s being catered to a variety of cultures so that’s understandable. While it’s not the best West Indian restaurant around, it is certainly worth the friendly service and made to order Roti when requested. If I’m in the area again, I would check it out again.

When I tell you that this is a gem, I mean it. Food is by the pound and is still with it. I don’t understand the reviews about not having flavor and they’re wrong to the highest level. You can go to Wegmans and pay more per pound with no flavor at all. Each time I come, I try to get it to go, but i can’t make it past the door. This restaurant stays in my list for suggested or recommended spots.

Some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Not only does it not taste or look good. But, comes with a side of salmonella. The jerk chicken had no gravy on it and the rice didn’t even have any flavor. How are you a Jamaican restaurant and can’t make rice and peas?The goat roti had mostly potatoes in it. This isn’t Jamaican food or remotely Caribbean for that matter.

I ordered this online and was excited to try the food. The jerk chicken was fall off the bone and juicy! I was disappointed with the plantains bc they were half cooked and tough(picture). Not to mention I got a red velvet cake to substitute for my rum cake I ordered. All in all, the food itself was delicious, I’m just disappointed int he sides and how they were made/substituted. I will try this place again, but maybe during the week not weekends.

The coca bread was good along with roti to start with the highlights. The plantains were not plantains just bananas fried really not good. The Mac and cheese was rather flat. The curry goat was not seasoned. All in all not really worth the price.

I don’t understand some of the reviews. Some people are complaining about the cost but Wegmans has a buffet that’s $14.99 pretty pound for subpar food. The other complaints are about the food not having any flavor and that is far from the truth. The owner takes pride in his food and ingredients. He had come out and given a full description of his food and how he grew up in it. I’ve gone here twice and plan on making more trips. When you find good authentic flavors, you have keep going back for more.

Great Caribbean oxtail sandwiches. I especially liked the cabbage version of the oxtail sandwich it had very nice caramelized like cabbage and carrots on top of big chunks of meat and soft thick bread either sandwich I had will fill you up and if you have a sweet tooth after devouring that deliciousness they have some delicious cake available too. Come hungry leave full wanting to order more regardless 🙂

The “meal” in the photo was $22 dollars… This place has good food, but at almost $11/pound for the self serve buffet, you will want to avoid coming at dinner time. Absolutely not worth the price.
