We went for lunch today for the first time. The fried chicken, sweet potato casserole, dressing, smothered steak, cornbread muffins, tea were all good. The yams were ok. The macaroni and cheese tasted sour. Not sure if it was the cheese or milk. Couldn’t eat it. The only thing they gave us to eat with was a plastic fork that was tiny and flimsy, no knife or spoon. For a lunch that was over $32.00 they could give you better utensils to eat with. It was a little warm in there also. We drove from Byram to eat there after we read the article in the newspaper. We will be back to try some other dishes.

Oooooh boy, how I dream about this food! Everything from the fried chicken, dumpling, and cabbage to the banana pudding was loaded with flavor. My tastebuds left very satisfied!! (Food was so good I completely forgot to take a photo of my meal haha) But I’d recommend swinging by this adorable house restaurant and giving them a try!

I love the Cooking Diva! Food is always hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS!! Whether Traveling through Jackson Mississippi(me) or you live near the area, it’s a must stop! You definitely get the best bang for your buck and great customer service. Like seriously everything is so tasty I can never decide on one so I choose a few or four I’m heading into a delightful food coma as we speak. Hurry, go check them out! You’ll be so glad you did.

We were driving thru Mississippi and found this gem on Yelp. Wow! The catfish was amazing and all the sides we tried were good. Busy place and highly recommend you make this a stop on your next visit to Canton.
