Had dinner here last Sunday evening. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries and my wife had the shrimp and grits. We split/shared a spinach salad. For an appetizer we had the fried green tomatoes. The food was very good. The fried green tomatoes seemed to have a somewhat Cajun flair. They were good tho. The dinner was very good. The pulled pork had a very nice Smokey flavor with just the perfect amount of coleslaw topped off on it. I don’t like a lot. It was just right. My wife was pleased with her shrimp and grits. I must say I was pleased to see that I could order a Fretboard brew to wash it all down as they are local and definitely one of the best microbrews in town.

My wife and I have been wanting to try this place and today we had to golden opportunity. We stopped in for lunch. Blown away by the quality of food. One thing I want to point out was the macaroni salad was so fresh. You could tell it was not purchased from the store. The noodles were al dente. The tomatoes were fresh and not a heavy amount of sauce. It’s how it’s supposed to be done. We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer in the sauce that they put on the side is amazing. The fried green tomatoes were cooked perfectly. My wife got the chicken and waffles and I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich beyond perfect the chicken thigh was amazing. This place puts cooking as the first priority. We will definitely come back time and time again this is a hidden gem in Amelia. Thank you Stonehouse for providing such an amazing meal. I love supporting places that care about the customer.

The server was very friendly and helpful. We sat outside on the patio. The place is new and clean. However, google map gave incorrect entrance. I submitted the correction.

Had the opportunity to have dinner here the other night. My husband and I shared the poutine. This was our favorite- little on the pricey size for the portion size. For our main meals I got the savory and sweet- I opted to not have the bacon-tomato spread which resulted in a dry sandwich- however dipped in the gravy from the poutine made it worth it. I highly recommend offering the gravy as a backup instead of the spread. Husband got the porky- he said it was good however the apple butter made the bread soggy and the sandwich fell apart quickly.

I’ve been here twice and have great experiences both times. Very attentive wait staff, delicious food, excellent drink menu and beautiful ambience! Would be a great place to host a shower, or large party as their patio is huge and comfortable. You absolutely must try their desserts!

Amelia finally gets a restaurant !! They did a great job turning this house into a restaurant . The inside is comfortable and there is various seating choices. There is also a porch available . The food is upgraded bar food. Everything I had was tasty. The cocktails are also good.

I have a large family of 6 that includes 5 boys. We arrived at stone house at 8:30 and they close at 9. I was worried they wouldn’t serve us but they were very accommodating. They were very understanding when my 2 and 7 year olds didn’t want to sit still as well. My fried pork tenderloin was good but I gotta say the croutons in that house salad were hands down the best croutons I’ve ever ate in my life but even more than that they were the best thing I’ve tasted period for years. They melt in your mouth. Overall I was more than impressed with their soft opening. My bill for all 6 of us was $130 which isn’t bad given that 2 of them are high school football players and eat ten times what I eat in a week in one day. It’s worth noting that you have to turn at the light towards new sub division and circle behind the restaurant in order to get into parking lot.

What a terrific Scratch Kitchen. The greeting hostess was quick and friendly. Our waiter and waitress, Eric and Ashley, were amazing. Attentive, informative, polite. I noticed all the waiters and waitresses doing the same with their tables.
