I always come here. Really good food and fairly large portions. I know there are a lot of Chinese restaurants here in Jacksonville, but China 1 is a really nice takeout place. Everything from Sweet and Sour Chicken to General Tso, you will find something to enjoy. Dinner specials are really where it’s at. Check them out!

Always consistent, good descriptions on menu versus some spots. Singapore Mei Fun and the mixed wonton/egg drop soup are 100% delicious, as is chicken and broccoli, spring rolls, cream cheese wontons and more. Friendly service when I’ve gone in for pickup.

Ordered from here through Grub Hub, as I am in town on travel for work. This is the first, and will be the last, time I ordered from here. I ordered the Scallops with Beef Fried Rice. I have never before seen 12 perfectly matched size and shape scallops before, and they were way overcooked to the point of being very chewy. The Fried Rice, well it’s fried rice, and was ok at best. We also ordered Singapore Rice Noodles, Extra Hot, and they are very lacking in flavor. The Egg Drop Soup, well I am unsure what the taste is, but it is not like any that I have had before. The Steak and Cheese Egg Rolls where the best part of the meal, although I have had better. And, in place of the mustard sauce I had ordered they sent Duck Sauce, not even close to the same.

I order plain lo mein and got a vegie lo mein. The breading on the shrimp was too thick, and tasted bad. The sweet and sour chicken was over cooked and would dissolve into dust when bit into. $58 for horrible food, worse than Panda Express.
