Drove up at lunch to try tamales as my family was in for the weekend and we wanted tamales for lunch. There were no customers. Through photos of menu online, it states that you can purchase ONE tamale— go on, take a look. When asked to purchase one, to try out before buying a dozen, was told they don’t just sell one.

I had placed an online order for pick-up and the online ordering process was very smooth. I also inadvertently lost track of the days and went to pick them up 1 day early. They didn’t give a fuss and never mentioned it, they actually filled the order since they had everything prepared already. I realized it later in the day and am so glad that I didn’t have to feel so stupid in public. The Tamales are delicious too.

We ordered tamales and barbacoa. WORST BARBACOA EVER! If you’re going there for a one stop shop for both this isn’t the place. Tamales are fine. All meat barbacoa had fat and it was old warmed up for sell. The tortillas are disgusting too! Not fresh. OVERALL, They need to stick to making tamales only.

I called in to ensure my moms Tamales (dozen pork) would be ready for pick up or just to make sure they will be available. The lady said “yes we have plenty” and hung up before I could even say thank you. I walk down to the store lock on timberhill bc I’m not working far from there and the lady says as soon as I walk in, “we don’t have no pork” I said “I just called it in” she said “ah yes but a lady just came and bought them all. I said “that’s why I called it in, to make sure u had 12 dozen pork” she couldnt answer me or be of service so I left. honestly I guess this place is hit or miss, yet their calling line says they ship world wide…i hope those people at least get their orders.

I don’t like my tamales too big or too much masa and they have to be moist! Delicious tamales are just the right size, any larger and you lose the ratio of inside stuff and masa. Buy them fresh and they are so moist! I like the original. Worth driving an hour to SA to buy them for Christmas each year!
