Normal experience at a smaller sized Mexican place. They do speak both Spanish, and at the least, enough English to communicate with you to get your order. Which is usually right from my experiences. A while back (possibly a yearish or more ago, their red salsa you’d get with your chips was literally set your mouth on freaking fire hot that I’d eat one chip with it on it and couldn’t take anymore, this last time I went (past month or so) there red salsa was pretty damn good I mean it was still hot don’t get me wrong, but it was right there at the limit of heat that I like, and finished every bit of it that came with my quesadilla, which was of a pretty good size I think and had plenty of shredded chicken and cheese in ever single bite.

My wife and i were craving tacos but our usual taco truck wasnt at the spot so we tried something different today. My wife and i had 4 tacos each, she had barbacoa, carnitas, tripitas and fajita and i had 2 of tripita (because those are my favorite) and one of brisket and one of barbacoa in flour tortilla only because i have never been offered tacos with flour tortilla so i wanted to try them. The barbacoa was very good not very greasy which is always a plus and the brisket also had a good flavor a little dry in my opinion. The carnitas were shredded, flavorful. The fajitas, now these were not your normal sized fajitas these were cut like carne asada with green bell peppers and onion finely chopped and cooked together. The tripitas were larger than normal tripitas and crunchy. Unfortunately for me the tripitas didnt make the cut they seemed a little dirty, meaning alot of grittyness to them and they were very greasy (if you have cooked them before you understand what i mean).

I really wanted to give 3 3/4 stars. Angelica is a small hot plate style restaurant in a gas station located in Dallas at the corners of Seagoville Rd and Beltline Rd. When I say it’s small… I mean like 7 tables max. Place your order in Spanish or English, either way, the menu is pretty straight forward. With enchiladas, tacos, tortas and a nicely wide selection of meats you won’t have any trouble finding something to try. Staff was courteous and right on top of any requests for more tortillas or more salsa. Speaking of salsa, they had a really good tasting, although be it very hot, salsa and chips brought to the table first thing. Now, I’m no expert on peppers… But I’m pretty sure I tasted habanero until the burn took over. My friend tho was able to cover his eggs with and proceed to drink the rest like a shot! The food was totally yummy and was hot and fresh. They do offer breakfast ask day and that’s what we had. I had huevos con chorizo with hand made flour tortillas. The chorizo was awesome and not greasy, as chorizo can sometimes be. Tortillas weren’t the absolute best I’ve ever had,but they were good and they were hand made. The way it should be. The beans had really good flavor but i did not get to try the rice. For those that don’t know I’m of the opinion that a Mexican restaurants rice and beans is a litmus test for how well the rest of the food would be expected to be. If their rice and are bland, don’t expect really good food. I will update this as I am sure that I will go back and try other things on the menu. Being attached to a gas station it’s not aesthetically the friendliest looking play, but everything is neat, friendly and well worth your time to stop and try.

Food is really delish here. The tacos are fantastic with real homemade tortillas n plenty of meat. The flautas r my favorite 3 come topped with lettuce tomatoe crema and queso fresco with rice and beans. The enchiladas are authentic Mexican style

I ordered Tacos de Bistec and the tacos were horrible. They charge you $2.50 each taco if you want home made tortillas and $1.50 for regular bag tortillas. Lengua and tripas add another .50 cents. The meat was very salted it tested like the knor suisa cubes. Your tacos come with one tortilla not two tortillas.

This place customer service and food are horrible. If you don’t like food or find hair in soup. They won’t reimburse you. Don’t take any chances. Just Gross. Sorry but I had to report your facility to health department.

Food taste pretty good. They have more onion and bell pepper in there tacos then meat. They’ve raised their prices ridiculously high. The food isn’t worth the prices charged. The ladies look at you crazy the entire time you’re there.

My husband, daughter and I were craving Mexican food and decided to give it a try. Service was okay, my husband order green chicken enchiladas and they gave him red ones and the price was 13.99 or 14.00 and rice had no flavor and it was small amount of rice. I got the Barbacoa plate and it had a lot of fat, rice no flavor and it only comes with 3 tortillas I ask for an extra tortilla and they said they will charge me 3.00. My daughter got the kids carnita taco with flower tortilla and the meat and tortilla was super har. Mexican cokes are so pricy. We spent 40 dollars and I regrets it. Soon as I got home my stomach was hurting and gave me diarrhea. I give it a 1 1/2 start my daughter said zero stars.
