If you do a daytime hike at Pine Mtn. Definitely check this place out after to treat yourself. The ribs have a beautiful Smokey aroma and a soft texture that pairs well with the sauce. I got a combo plate and the pulled pork was delicious too! Definitely will go back if I’m in the area again.

Absolutely incredible, all the way from the BBQ to the service! LJ is always so kind and treats each customer like a long-time friend. My family comes here every Christmas for the light show, and we always have to stop at LJ’s, too! The Mac and cheese is the best Mac And Cheese I’ve ever had in my life, and I’m not even being dramatic. Could not recommend more!!! 10/10!

Delicious BBQ pork! Their mustard sauce is amazing – they should definitely bottle and sell that stuff. The perfect blend of sweet and bordering on spicy. Their chopped pork was all meat, no fat or tough bits. Mac and cheese was good. Loved their banana pudding, heavy on the nilla wafers. Service was fast. Will definitely return!

We just enjoyed a marvelous meal at LJ’s! This is legit barbecue…you can see the smoke ring on the sliced meats. The smoked chicken, homemade potato salad and baked beans are excellent. The owners are friendly and accommodating. Health inspection score by the register is 100%, A+.

Yes! This place may not look like much from the outside but the BBQ is legit. I had the ribs and my mom had the pulled pork. Delicious! We also had Mac and cheese, potato salad, and baked beans. Everything was excellent and LJ even came out to check on us himself. EAT HERE. You won’t regret it.

If you are ever up in the Pine Mountain FDR State Park area then you’ve got to try LJ’s Smokehouse BBQ. Best BBQ I’ve had in Georgia. Super nice folks and make you feel welcome. Got a young man there named Elijah who’s 10 years old. This young man was Johnny on the spot. Inviting us in and getting all 12 people seated. He’d come out and see if we needed refills, how the food was, did we need anything etc. He was s blessing and this kids work ethic was awesome which is a reflection of his upbringing I believe. More young people and some older people could take lessons from Elijah.

I wish I could give it more stars. Got there late Sunday night and they stayed open for us! TC is the owner and he stays true to the recipes and techniques of his grandfather LJ. This is possibly the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten, and at age 70 that is saying a lot. Tender ribs, fantastic and unique sauce, slaw, baked beans, mac & cheese. Family atmosphere and a very fun and friendly place.
