This was our first visit. Don’t be dissuaded by the storefront. The food was excellent! The proprietor gave tastes of whichever food you wanted to try. She serves from a steam table. Again, don’t be concerned by this seemingly casual serving. The desserts, including 3 types of baklava, are beautiful!

TLDR: Good food, homey atmosphere, friendly folks, and a bit pricey but worth it imo.

This place is a hidden gem. The owner and chef is amazing. You try all the food before you order. The food is fresh and bursting with flavor. The baklava is so good you’ll want more than one piece. I’m so glad I found this place. Highly, highly recommend.

I was visiting Lincoln this weekend and the friend we were with recommended this place and took us here. The food matched the hype built up around this place. The owner took us through explaining each of the dishes as well as allowed us to sample things and was extremely generous and kind. Her passion for her food really shines through, draws you in, and wins you over. The aroma from the saffron and flavors of the food were terrific and the quality of the dishes were very authentic. If I lived in Lincoln I’d eat here all the time and if I’m ever in town again I’d definitely eat here again .

The woman that runs this place is what I’d imagine is the perfect middle eastern grandmother. She just wakes up everyday and decides to make something new and amazing. Then when you first walk in, she is asking you to try this and then that. And it’s all so good. By the time you’re ready to eat, you’ve already eaten a quarter of a meal! Then she asks you which one you want, and you have to make one of the most difficult decisions of the day. Don’t get me wrong, there is no bad answer. But how are you supposed to make the best decision? I guess you’ll just have to go with your gut. But no matter what decision you make there are still two things to know. 1. You will get handed more food than you’re going to be able to eat. And 2. You’ll still need to save room for the amazing baklava.

This place was AMAZING. I have never eaten such good food in Lincoln. Best place for gyros, too. The woman who works there is beyond kind and gave us EVERYTHING to sample before we actually ordered. Will be going back. Worth the price. Literally, the best, hands down.

First of all…The owner is the sweetest and most loving woman ever. She makes everything by hand….even the pastries. The food….oh the food. We are adventurous eaters. All of this food tasted new! The meatballs with fruit blew my mind! The spicy chicken was pleasantly spicy without overwhelming the taste buds. The chicken…I have no idea how she made chicken this good!.
