Honestly food was so good! It was cooked instantly literally had to wait less than 10 mins for it to be done, the waitress was very nice and grateful( she told someone besides us I forgot to say thank you for ——- and I wanted to thank you) also sorry dashes are because I don’t remember exactly what she was thanking for, But absolutely loved her and this place it’s small, clean, and a decent place to grab some breakfast if your really hungry and can’t wait! On a whim, we stopped in for breakfast. A comfortable hole in the wall is a fit description of the ambiance. Plus, I knew it was going to be interesting when the proprietor pointed at the far wall and said, “Grab a mug and serve yourself. Oh, creamers in fridge pointing in other direction.” It was basic diner coffee; however, the food was absolutely scrumptious. We ordered blueberry pancakes with real blueberries, eggs, breakfast meats, and cheesy grits. The place has good vibes and good food. The Mom at the table loved the sign above our table. I know we will be back.

This has to be the best hole in the wall breakfast and lunch place. Sam Houston himself would fight Santa Anna all over again to eat here! Wow! I have been here 4 times in three weeks. It’s that good. If you’re going to eat breakfast, I would recommend the protein bowl. It was outstanding the eggs were cooked perfectly the fresh avocado and sautéed spinach and mushrooms was amazing. My companions ordered breakfast bacon tacos, which were extra large in size. Previous meals have included Kay’s hamburgers, Kay’s club, AND (drumroll please)… I will have to say the absolute best chicken and dumplings I have ever had!!

Ate here for lunch. Had the Patty Melt (minus bun) with avocado. Husband had cheeseburger, fries and onion rings. Food was hot and delicious! Service was straightforward, but quick. Definitely worth the 2 extra minutes off the highway!

I visited Kay’s Sandwich and Burgers because it had great reviews! It did not disappoint! I got a club sandwich and one breakfast taco (sausage, egg, potato, and cheese). Everything was delicious and still warm when I got it home! I can’t wait to go back. I spent less than $20 on everything.
