Urbano Mexican Kitchen in Pasadena is a family-owned restaurant that fuses traditional and contemporary Mexican cuisine.
Our flavors evolved from the ranches of Zacatecas, Mexico, to the beaches of Baja, and now to the streets of Pasadena.
We focus on making each guest feel like family. With our open concept kitchen we invite each guest to see our team at work.
We use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients in our recipes. Our corn tortillas are made fresh daily and all our sauces and salsas are made in-house. We offer a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options and serve the largest selection of Mexican Craft Beer in the area.

Great place serving modern Mexican food. The meat is the good stuff and they give you a solid amount for the entrees. Ceviche is mid. Carne asada fries is huge (but not a whole lot of meat). Salsa is good, the venue is chill. The handmade tortillas were a little too soft in my opinion. Seems like they were steamed and not cooked on the griddle

This is a huge Mexican restaurant right across Huntington Hospital. They have a killer carne asada fries and delicious chicken soup and vegetables. The grilled fish tacos are filled with generous ahi. The shrimp is crispy and the carne asada is well seasoned in their corresponding tacos. My favorite is the shrimp al ajillo with its garlicky white wine sauce. There is something for everyone in this place including watching a game and hanging out after dinner.

Excellent food, excellent service. Came here based on a good friends recommendation. It was our first time for the both of us eating here. Fair prices from our perspective. I like the location because it’s still close enough to the freeways (110, 134, 210) and not too far from our workplace. It’s directly across the street from Huntington Memorial Hospital’s main entrance. We went right before the “lunch rush” so it was nice since this area gets crowded because of the hospital. Our food was flavorful, well seasoned and delicious. I’d recommend coming here when you get the opportunity.

Urbano looks like a fairly nondescript stip mall Mexican restaurant, but it is far more than that. It serves some of the best Mexican food in Pasadena. Everything we ordered was top-notch. My shrimp stuffed chile rellano was among the best l’ve ever eaten. The service was fast and very friendly.

Upscale, foodie, gourmet Mexican food spot. Nice ambiance, good service, and small but solid menu. Great hand made corn tortillas, and salsa.

This place is right across the street from Huntington Memorial hospital. Convenient, good food made fresh and has a small bar if your looking for a quick beer. Server was great and prices were a little steep but really good food was worth it.

Urbano Mexican Kitchen was one of the most delicious Mexican places I have been to in a long time. Everything was a 10/10, from the plating, to the service, to the flavors. It is a very cute little restaurant, so don’t be fooled by the location, because if you visit, you’re in for a treat. We walked in and were immediately greeted by an incredible waiter who attended to our every need. He took our drink and appetizer order and that was brought to us shortly, with complimentary chips and salsa. We then ordered our entrees and they were delivered, with beautiful plating. It looked exactly like it does on the menu on their website, something you can never be too sure of with other restaurants. Also, all their tortillas were homemade. Everything was excellent. The bill was brought to us immediately and we didn’t have to wait any time for it. I would definitely go again!

service and atmosphere are great but the food is a little untrue to Mexican recipes, if it would, it would be too hot/spicy for most customers, that being said, in my opinion the food is a little bland.
