Wasabi has the most amazing food in the area. It is by far the best hibachi restaurant in Murfreesboro. Our server was incredible. He really worked the crowd. The food was so good. We even had leftovers and ate them the next day. The atmosphere is awesome. And for people who don’t like hibachi, they also have sushi. My family loves wasabi and we recommend it to all our friends.

Pleasantly surprised. I ordered the teriyaki tofu and it was delicious! Came out hot and the tofu was really nicely breaded and a great consistency. The vegetables – broccoli, onion, zucchini, and mushroom – were cooked to perfection. My only qualm is that the house salad had way too much dressing on it. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my meal and service.

Lunch at 1:25 in the afternoon and the restaurant was quiet. The building is a little older but the food and service are good.(This restaurant does not have noodle soup.) We had miso soup, salad, sushi, and chicken hibachi. The server was patient and efficient. Everything was fresh. ❤️

Our server was very friendly. The hibachi grill cook was awesome. We watched him interact with the kids at the next table. I was very impressed. Want to bring my Sabbath school kids to eat there. I’m setting it up with our server. I can’t wait!

Mixed feelings about the hibachi experience. Teriyaki steak was fantastic, but the chicken and shrimp were unfortunately overcooked and chewy. The veggies – broccoli, onion, zucchini, and mushroom – were nicely prepared. House salad and miso soup were standard. Quality seems to be hit-and-miss at this location. Chef served rice and vegetables first, then steak, then shrimp and chicken last. Although, I noticed other places follow a different order of cooking – Rice first, then veggies, chicken, steak, and lastly shrimp. Regardless of the order, the meal was overpriced for the quality.

There was a feeling of togetherness as we all sat around the table getting our food served up. Our server was awesome, throwing steak pieces around, making jokes and making the whole table have a good time. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection just like I asked.

We came in with a party of 5 for lunch, and instead of seating us at our own grill (which there were several empty, and the ones that were finishing up only had parties of 4 or 5 at them), they seated us with another party of 6 who had already ordered and were eating their soup/salads. 3 of us ended up basically at the grill behind the one we were “seated” at. Had they told us that this would have been the case, we would have eaten at a table instead of at a hibachi grill. The food portions were quite small, I think because the chef was trying to cook for 11, and no one on the side/other grill could see anything going on. The food was very under seasoned and bland, and refills barely happened. Veggies were under done. The party of 6 that had already ordered was visibly and verbally upset with us for “holding them up,” even though it was not our fault we were placed with them. This place was recommended to us as being “great” by family in the area, but I definitely do not recommend going here based on my experience.

Firstly, I cannot speak for the Hibachi side of the restaurant, so this is pertaining to the sushi attempt. Our sushi was not cold or even chilled. The sashimi was slimy, which means it was not good to be eaten or served. Another raw roll had smoked tuna inside of it making it taste like a bologna sandwich when mixed with cream cheese. Btw, the cream cheese was a suggestion for a substitution due to another missing item. We also asked for a side of jalapeno (common item in sushi restaurants), and we were given canned jalapenos. Which shows the essence of their respect to their food, and it is lacking.
