Great experience all around! The service was fantastic. I arrived shortly before they opened; they had a large crowd, but was able to seat everyone quickly and no delays on food coming out! The food itself was fabulous. We started off with the loaded taters. The gravy had an amazing flavor while not being overpowering. The roast was nice and tender. I ordered the Chicken St. Charlie’s Benedict for my main course. It was outstanding; the chicken had a great crunch, yet it was super juicy on the inside. The biscuit was tasty as well. The gravy really helped everything come together!

The food is excellent. This is not IHOP or Waffle House. It’s WAY better! You haven’t had pancakes like this! Even the coffee had an original, but great taste to it. My server was polite and professional, and I did not have to wait long for my food once I placed my order. It arrived hot, and the fragrances that were coming from the plate made my mouth water. I had the cinnamon swirl pancakes with bacon and sausage.

Let me start by saying my family loves this place! It’s a tradition for us to stop on our way back from the Florida panhandle. Some helpful tips when coming here, use the Google app to add yourself to the waitlist if you’re coming at a peak (brunch) time. You’ll save time and a headache. Parking can be difficult here, so be prepared to parallel park in the street. Now for the food, it’s satisfying, and there are sweet and savory options for the whole family. We had the breakfast tacos with shrimp, avocado toast, florentine omelette, white chocolate bread pudding pancakes, New Orleans style iced coffee and a kid’s chocolate chip pancakes. Our server Donna was attentive and knowledgeable about menu questions. We will definitely be back here again very soon!

Cristal was great! So friendly and helped me pick a delicious meal. I got the breakfast tacos, a biscuit, and an iced vanilla coffee. The tacos were SO good and I’ve had many a breakfast tacos! The butter that’s made in house for the biscuits was really good as well– like a savory sweet treat. The coffee was okay but I forgot upon ordering that I don’t really like nutmeg so that’s no fault of theirs. Ruby Slipper is a bit pricey for the portion sizes but they make up for it with the service, flavor, and atmosphere. Outside seating is comfortable despite the summer heat with the shade and several fans going.

This place was PACKED. Had to wait an hour to get seated. But that wasn’t an issue because it was WELL worth it. Even as busy as they were, they were very attentive. Got our food in less than 30 minutes. And it was AMAZING. I was blown away at the quality of this food. They got all of our orders right and it was all hot and fresh. The biscuits were the BEST I’ve ever had. Made fresh and so soft and fluffy. I’d give 10 stars if I could. The eggs Benedict, just wow. The chicken was crispy and juicy and so fresh. The shrimp omelet was perfect and so cheesy you could stretch the cheese to the ceiling. Not enough words to describe the satisfaction we had from the restaurant.

Our server was amazing!! I believe Kelly was her name; the food was delicious. I had the omelet with fresh fruit and cranberry juice. I highly recommend The Ruby Slipper for any meal. It is a variety of food. I’m sure you can find something great to enjoy. Let’s not forget mimosas, coffee, juices, and sodas. Whatever you order; you will enjoy and go back time and time again.

This was amazinggggg!!!! Everything was sooooo good! I had the breakfast tacos with the pork sausage and it was phenomenal. The grits were also good as well. Literally the best grits I’ve ever had. And the vanilla spiced latte was too good!!! That is literally the best coffee I’ve ever had. And Kaylee was such a joy. She was an amazing server and she was so kind and attentive. This is literally the best Ruby Slipper I’ve ever been too and I’ve been to several different locations. This was one is just different. Great vibes, great energy, great food, 10/10 definitely recommend.

Bad news: we waited over an hour for brunch on a Sunday morning. Good news: it was worth the wait. We had the French toast bites and the beignets for fun. Perfect for 3-4 people to share to get a taste of the most decadent menu items. You can try two different eggs Benedict “flavors”on one entre. The pulled pork option was the table favorite. My shrimp and grits was swimming in fat, I like it dryer, but still very yummy. Would return in a heart beat. JOIN the wait list ELECTRONICALLY from your hotel room as soon as you wake up!

Ruby Slippers is located in downtown Pensacola on palatox Street. Luckily it wasn’t too packed when I visited. They have 2 hour street parking on the same street and streets over. The restaurant was very busy and vibrant with Ruby slipper-themed decor. It was inviting. They have a bar when you enter and a huge selection of specialty breakfast drinks.
