Hot dog and onion rings for lunch. Half the rings were not edible and the bun was like concrete. The hot dog was good by itself. About $30 with beer and tip.

While the waitress was great, (Only giving three stars for her and because the food is consistently good.) if we pay to be members, the bar is as big as the kitchen and the prices for drinks correspond, the quality should as well. Ordered a simple Safire gin and tonic, got ice with tonic … asked for more Safire to be added .. watched the manager tell the bartender to add “something” (we know this was not Safire gin because this was not our first gin and tonic). We watched his response and attitude from our table. The drink came back almost undrinkable and then we were actually charged for “an extra shot”. We were the only patrons until half way through our meal when one other table came in so it’s not like the bar was over-worked or running low on liquor. This is not the first time the bar order was disappointing, will just order wine from here on out.

Overpriced and inconsistent…not worth it when there are other good options just outside the neighborhood. We have lived in Cheval 6 years, but have given up trying to support this place.
