First off, our server (I’m sorry, I can’t remember her name) was excellent. As for the food, my wife enjoyed her’s more than I did. She had the chicken and dumplings with fried squash and mashed potatoes. She enjoyed everything. I did try the potatoes and they were very nice. I also had the chicken and dumplings and they were very good, however, my sides were not. The Mac and cheese was watery and the cottage cheese had an odd taste, I think it may have been fat free. The biscuits and rolls come with vegetable oil spread rather than butter and my wife had to add salt to all of her items. Looking around at some of the meals around us, I will definitely be back to try their breakfasts.

We came here for breakfast on 5/7/23, the food was pretty good. I got the biscuits and gravy and I can honestly say the biscuits and gravy were the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant, it tasted just like the gravy my mom used to make. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The service, however, is pretty bad. We waited forever for someone to come take our drink order, and waited a very long time for food. Our waitress was an older lady with short hair, once she brought the food she mumbled something about they forgot jelly for my husband’s toast and she would go get it. Well we never saw her again. She never came back to check on us. My husband got no jelly, we never got water refills and we never even got a check. Looking around, regulars and good ole boys seemed to get more attentive service. Good breakfast, horrible service. Might come back and try lunch.

Staff is always super friendly. Great burgers and the chicken sandwich is my favorite. The butterscotch pie is by far the BEST my husband and I have ever tasted! Treat yourself to dessert, highly recommend the coconut pie or strawberry shortcake as well. The biscuits and gravy at breakfast…yummo.

Made two trips for dinner this week alone. The chuckwagon steak with breakfast gravy to die for. The fried steak was so tender. Mash potatoes creamy and fried okra. Yummy.

As usual this place was packed but still able to be seated with no waiting. Food was delicious and service very good. Good family atmosphere and home cooked food.
