We saw an announcement there was a new lounge and restaurant. Arriving we realized it was part of a hotel, but gave it a shot. It was a nice lounge, but a bit of hotel noise. We ordered two old fashions which we decent, however when we got the bill it was almost $30 for two drinks and a the tip. If you are not looking to capture repeat business, your are on the right track.

Probably the best cheese curds I have ever had but the worst burger I’ve ever had. It was disgusting. You can get better burgers at Culver’s down the street. Do not get baited by the 5 star reviews for this place.

Mitchell and his team of service providers at Tailwinds have always provided a great experience for us. The food is prepared with care and has exceeded my expectations during every visit. Austin, one of the evening bartenders, deserves a shout out as well for his professionalism and witty charm. All around great service and food! Check it out!

I have been traveling to Madison the last few months and been staying in hotels while traveling. I recently stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Madison East and was overwhelming surprised by the quality of the restaurant (Tailwinds). They have a great menu, but more than that Mitchell has created an environment of amazing service. He has taken specific requests, even if not on the menu, and if possible made those dishes for me. I have the choice to stay at any of several hotels in Madison and because of Tailwinds I now choose to stay at the Doubletree by Hilton Madison East where you will often find me in the corner by the fireplace eating incredible food and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. If you visit, introduce yourself to Mitchell, he will definitely make sure you are a satisfied customer.
