Don’t let this small little roadside stand fool you, they know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to barbecue! The brisket and ribs were cooked perfectly, the chicken had the most flavourful smokey taste and the pork barbecue was phenomenal. We had the green beans, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. All of which were so flavourful and delightful. The owner was also wonderful! Small mom and pop places like this make dining so much more fun and delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

I’m from The D and thought I’d give True Bar B Que ribs a try. The slab of ribs I got on August 5 was nothing I expected. They was cooked in oven the sauce was S$&))%#t not enough sauce to cover the bones and the 3 side I order scared to eat no love here Detroiter. Stay away.

The Brisket was fantastic and juicy , I got Mac and cheese and potato salad and both were delicious, and the sauce?!? I had to come back and purchase a few extra for home , the young lady at the window was very well mannered and the young man moved with ease through multiple orders at a time. I read the reviews and it’s definitely not a waste of time , a family owned business is hard to come by these days!

I don’t see how a place can call themselves a BBQ joint, when their meats are cooked in an oven, there is no smoke ring, grill marks or any sign cooked over any type of fire. Their sides will have you chasing a bathroom before you make it onto the highway. FB friends/family giving you reviews is the only way to get positive reviews I guess.

True BBQ is the hidden gem in Socastee, SC. Come out and see Tineka and her family Thu-Sat. Beef brisket sandwich as on point! Sauces and sides were handmade. Definitely coming back. 5-star Barbecue.

The name isn’t a lie. I’m from GA, and living in the north for a few years has made me miss my hometown that had 3 great BBQ places in a 5 minute radius. The pulled pork, sauces, slaw, and fried okra made me feel at home again, and the sandy lot and shack just add to the experience.
