Okay so as you can see, I had the trio (lasagna, chicken parmigiana and fettuccine alfredo) and a medium cheese pizza. Honestly, the pizza looked like a large. Nevertheless, the food was delicious! That was THE best Italian food I’ve ever had and I’ve had many. I also had the fried mozzarella and salad. The mozzarella tasted like it could be cooked longer and the salad dressing which was their house dressing, tasted like ketchup. It was tomato based but it was still very delicious. It is on the pricey side but it was definitely the drive. I will be back.

This was our first time eating here. The food was really good. The soup and rolls were amazing! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Best service we’ve had in quite awhile. It was a quiet night, so I can’t really say anything for the atmosphere. We will definitely be back for the live music on the weekends.

We have eaten at Taste of Italy for years— so many wonderful meals and memories shared there. I felt compelled to finally leave them a nice review! Their food is delicious! (My fav is ckn Maximo) Always friendly service. And beautiful views… A true treasure in East Texas.

Love this place every time I go. Pasta lunch sampler. Still a meal for two. The house dressing is the best and they take the time to make sure bread is cooked. Most Italian restaurants are not cooking it completely anymore. Remember to bring a bottle of wine with you. 🙂

Taste of Italy has the best Italian food of any I’ve had in a very long time! Our waitress was great! She didn’t hover over us but was available when we needed something. The food arrived at our table within 5 to 10 minutes of us ordering. It was hot and delicious! Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is great too with views out over the lake!

Very nice atmosphere overlooking the water. Would have been better had the windows been clean. My view through the glass door was nice after having to kill several annoying gnats. During my visit the beverage options listed on the menu were not available so with the limitations I had to settle for sweet tea. My mother thoroughly enjoyed her seafood meal and my spouse his pasta. As an appetizer I chose the mozzarella sticks, which were phenomenal.

We came here for my birthday dinner. Morgan was our server! She was awesome, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. The food was great, had live music, and atmosphere was cheerful, but not to loud. I loved dining outside. Definitely recommend!!

We were attracted by the free boat ramp but stayed for the food. Absolutely one of the best meals we’ve had in East Texas. Server was a real friendly professional, didn’t miss a thing to provide a fantastic experience. The food in price point, portion, presentation and quality was/ is awesome. You can bet we’ll be back soon.

This was our bike ride destination for four of us. We had heard good things about this place, although this was our first visit. We arrived about 13:00 hrs & they weren’t very busy on this Saturday. The service was a little slow after we were seated. It really wasn’t too much of a concern since we were happy to be in a cool environment. After the initial wait for some cold water, the service improved with the timely delivery of delicious bread and then our food orders. My wife and I shared a sampler dish and were glad that we did. I’m not sure even in my younger days that I could have eaten that much food. It was not only huge, it was delicious. I can easily recommend this place to anyone. I gave it 4 stars because of the initial wait and the place could use a little updating. I would like to also let you know they have a large patio area with a beautiful view of the lake. It would have been our first choice for dining if the temps were just a little lower.

My husband and I met some friends for dinner and had a great time. The restaurant is right next to Lake Hawkins with an outside dining area and inside live entertainment. Brittany was our server, she was very nice, attentive and professional. The food was brought to us hot and delicious. I highly recommend eating here! I know we will again!
