It’s been awhile since I’ve had true authentic German food, and this was a great experience. It tasted like my Oma’s especially the cheesecake. My best friend and I shared the goulash, and her husband and us all tried the pretzel bratwurst tray. My friend and I each had a spätzle dish. Hers had veal mine had cream cheese. There was a caramel hazelnut cake and pistachio pistachio cheesecake. I know it’s snooty of me but I prefer German cheesecake over American.

Really great food. I ordered the beef veggie soup which was a special and it was amazing. The soup itself was very flavorful and the beef was super soft and tender. I also got the black forest cake and it was delicious , very moist and bursting with flavor. Our server was really nice and informative and the owner was super sweet and accommodating. Overall a great restaurant, I would highly recommend it.

The food is delicious, authentic, and made fresh when you order it. My husband and I loved the food (meat for him and vegetarian for me) and we loved the atmosphere as well. The place was very clean and had a warm, cozy, and friendly atmosphere. We both loved what we ordered. I ordered the Kase Spatzle that came with Salad and he ordered the Pork Snitzle and Seafood and we shared a delicious fresh Nutella Crepe as well. The service was excellent and high end by the super friendly and attentive Almir. I can’t wait until we go back and I highly recommend this classy and comfortable restaurant.

As good as it gets!!! A wonderful place where each team member clearly values their work and service AND the food is cooked to perfection. That Jager schnitzel was easy to chew and cut and seasoned so originally. The vegetables have a strong peppery and fire roasted flavor. Bread appetizer is just as delicious. Clean chicken cuts. Open late.

I had spaetzle and schnitzel, it was excellent! Everyone in our dining party enjoyed their food. The service was exceptional and perfectly balanced between being available without hovering. Nice atmosphere in a quaint part of Alexandria. I highly recommend this place.

It’s one of my favorites in Old Town Alexandria!! The food was absolutely delicious. We eat here every time we visit Alexandria. Their schnitzel is the stuff of German dreams! The schnitzel comes with either fries or salad. I always get Holstiner schnitzel that is veal with an over-medium egg and the salad. It comes lightly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette and is a perfect complement to the richness of the Veal. We also had the special, which was a pork schnitzel stuffed with feta cheese and spicy peppers. My husband loved it. We also got the wurst platter, which has spicy mustard and comes with a soft pretzel and a feta cheese spread. We also had the Balkan style beef sausages with ajvar, which is a vegetable condiment. The black forest cake was great and not overly sweet. Everything was delicious!! The service is always excellent as well. We waited in the bar area for a table and they made sure our drinks stayed full while we waited on a busy Sunday night!

Very pleasantly surprised by how good the food is here. The schnitzel and sausages were quite amazing. The pretzels were delicious as well. All the dishes were well executed and flavorful. The atmosphere was casual and full of character. We had a great meal and experience at the restaurant.

Great atmosphere, excellent food. Recommend a reservation on the weekend. We had the crab cakes, stuffed veal schnitzel and cordon blue… All were fantastic!!! Finished with the apple strudel, great spin on an old traditional favorite!!
