Roxie’s Purpose Design
The food is pretty good. I got the catfish fillet and fries. The Downside is they are higher than other other Restaurants with the same offerings. Also no Drink comes with the meal and is extra. Also they don’t have wing flavors beside just regular wings. Which is disappointing.

I came to Macon on a business trip and was looking for a place to eat dinner. I found JJ Fish and Chicken and I was really impressed! They have a lot of different choices. I had the small tender meal and it was far, far from small! The container barely closed because it was so full! I got 4 large chicken tenders, a pile of fries and a couple slices of bread. It was enough for 2 people to eat! The tenders are huge, crispy, and super tender. The fries are hot and crispy. They sprinkled some sort of flavor on everything and it gave it a little something extra. They also had a dessert case with several delicious looking varieties of cake, but I was too full to try one! My meal was delicious and if I lived in Macon, I would eat here every week!!

JJ Fish & Chicken food was delicious, this is a great place to get food. I got the 6 wings and 1 piece of fish came with fries and a small coleslaw with 2 pieces of bread. Every bite was delicious.

The gizzards were good with the seasoning. You can ask for more seasoning if you want. Their fries are so delicious, and the okra is good, too. I enjoyed the flavored slushie drink. They have many flavored to add to the lemonade slushies. I recommend the strawberry kiwi lemonade slushie.

So I went and tried JJ fish& chicken a Chicago style establishment that just opened up here in Macon. And I must say they are much better than Shark’s buuuut the chicken could be a lil more tender once you get to the actual meat the skin on the other hand perfect fry on it and seasoned to perfection! I also tried the corn nuggets, fried mushrooms, and French fries as my sides. The corn nuggets were fried a little too long which made the corn a tid bit chewy on the inside of the nuggets. And the mushrooms need to be smaller or cut in half if they are gonna use big mushrooms. And the fries eat em while they are hot! So on a scale of 1 to 10 I give JJ fish & chicken a hard 7.5. Can’t wait to go back and try another item soon….A little update on JJs I have gotten to try a few other food items and my favorite so far is the crab bites, and their fried wings. The fried fish isn’t bad neither. But the fries could use a little upgrade.
