VERY busy lunch location. LIMITED parking areas. A variety of BBQ entrées & sides with HUGE FLAVOR. Worth the wait, with a time of order to pick-up between 5 to 8 minutes. GENEROUS portions and reasonably priced. Couldn’t stop eating for a picture of the food!!

Jays bbq is one of, if not our favorite bbq spot in Abilene! There isn’t one thing on the menu we don’t love. You will wait in line, but you will not regret it! Always friendly employees and the outdoor seating is plentiful and set up so nice. You’ve got to watch for their weekly specials, too! Yum!

This is what brisket is supposed to taste like. Very well cooked and seasoned. Sausage was good too. Ribs were well cooked but could use more meat. Candy bacon was tasty even though I ordered burnt ends (There is a difference I wish they would of told me). Everyone was friendly and line moved quickly.

This place lives up to the name and the ratings are accurate, this bbq is delicious. I really like their house made spicy bbq too. Adds a little heat and tastes great. Wife got the 3 meat plate and I got the “meat sweats”. Boy was it good. The pictures speak for themselves. If your in the area or road tripping off of highway 20, stop by this place!!

Very enjoyable experience. The wait in line was long but it’s because the food is so good. The brisket was tender and the sides were delish! We had the Hatch chili mac & cheese and the jalapeno corn and both were very good. I can’t wait to go back to try other dishes they offer.
