Don’t let the acoustic tile ceilings fool you, the food here is quite delicious. The chips and salsa had a great citrus flavor. The tacos are a great deal…they are the smaller Baja style that have lots of flavor…for $2.99 on Tuesday. I ordered three and that was about enough to fill me up. The food was great and I’m happy to finally have a great Mexican restaurant in the Orcutt area.

I was excited to see a new dining option in the shopping center! My husband ordered a carnitas burrito and I had a burrito with beans, rice, and cilantro . My burrito wasn’t “on the menu” but I didn’t feel like eating meat and they were more than happy to accommodate my request. Both my husband and I were impressed by the customer service , the taste of the food, and the prices which were also reasonable. The chips were homemade and warm and fresh, the salsa had a great flavor, (the green one was my favorite). We both were full after we ate some chips and half of our burritos so we brought home enough for lunch today as well. We will definitely be going back to Nena’s again !

The Pastor burrito was the best I’ve ever had and the Asada Cali fries were delicious also. I can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu! The staff was really great also! Definitely worth 5 stars!

Nenas kitchen is such a great stop for any occasion! I brought my whole family food and my dad rated their pastor burrito 12/10!!!! He is a burrito lover and for him to say it was the best he has ever had, says a whole lot!!! The food was full of flavor!!! Salsa was great!!! Staff was so nice and accommodating for my sister who is vegetarian! We will be stopping by again very soon!!!!!

I feel bad leaving a review like this for a new place but that was the worst Mexican food I’ve had in a long long time. We got the $15 nachos. They forgot the cheese, everything was room temperature, the chips were greasy and stale and the asada was terrible quality (mostly fat and gristle). Not to mention it was served on a tiny styrofoam plate so the portion was weak. Hope this review saves somebody some money. Will not be back.
