My waiter I think was Caleb. He was amazing and attentive. I ask for suggestions and he did not let me down. Ordered edimame appetizer and hibachi steak with sweet carrots and fried rice it comes with half an egg roll. It was all delicious and the egg roll tasted so good to me I ordered 2 more. Give them a try and remember they are new and on a learning curve.

The staff was super friendly. Ordered two habachi Steak and shrimp dinners. The total was about $55. The issue that I had was that the portion size for the price was lacking and also the quality of steak was grizzle and fatty. For the little amount that I received I had to toss half of the steak because it was so fatty. I would recommend Koumi Express in Monroe for habachi.

Cold Chicken, cold carrots, and cold salmon with no one in the restaurant is unacceptable. Sweet carrots were sweet but mushy from yesterday. Another couple waited 30 minutes for their food. Another table sent back their sweet tea. Ambiance was still Bojangles with the same tables that rock. My wife paid $13 for a specialty drink off the menu with no prices – see picture. We will not return.

Went a week or two ago and has a pleasant visit. I ordered the hibachi steak lunch special, and it was a very good price for the portion. What I found interesting was that there was no extra charge between steak, shrimp, and chicken, which there usually is at most hibachi restaurants. I got a side of noodles for only a dollar or two extra and it was a great side to the meal. The rice was just ok, and the steak was great portion wise but could have been a lot less dry. I think that if there were to be a slight upcharge to the steak (or other meats like shrimp) in order for it to be better quality and prepared better, it would be far more worth it. I really want this place to succeed, I love Koumi but this store is much closer to me and would love to see them succeed as much as Koumi is. I think this place has a lot of potential and can easily get the small quirks back on track. Best of luck! 🙂

New Asian restaurant in Waxhaw. Nice atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff. Ordered the pork (ton)katsu with noodles and mixed vegetables. Got the fried rice. They brought out noodles. Also ordered the tobiko and tuna nigiri. Got masago and tuna nigiri. They apologized brought out a complimentary tobiko nigiri. They pork katsu was excellent … not dry … very tender! The nigiri was good, the rice to fish ratio was off a bit, but the fish slices were a good portion. Overall, I recommend giving them a try. We will be back. Thanks. FYI … limited sushi menu … we also got the “make me sexy” & shrimp tempura and cream cheese rolls. Both were good.

The food is really good and the service was great. The teriyaki sauce is so good and the sushi i had was a great portion size and delicious! The manager came around asking how everything was and asked what feedback we had. They truly want to be great for the community! My only recommendation is to cook the steak based on how the customer likes it. It wasn’t an option to get it medium and both times i got it, it was well done which made it dry and chewy but overall still good. I would even pay more for the steak like most other places charge to be able to order it different. We will continue to support this local business!
