Not sure what’s going on there lately but the quality of the food has gone down A LOT the past couple of times I ordered in 2 months. This used to be one of my fave places. Yesterday I gave it another chance and ordered vegetable mei fun and the only veggies in it were a tiny bit of cabbage and a bunch of raw white onion. I paid $13.95 for that, not cool! Not ordering from here again!

Having just moved to the area, wanted to find a new Chinese restaurant. This is not high end Chinese, but it is really good chinese that we are used to from strip malls. Prices are fair, and the flavor is solid. I have only tried the chicken with broccoli, which came with 2 small, freshly made spring rolls, but it was fresh, and enjoyable.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants for Chinese food. However, this last time it seems something has changed. The food wasn’t as good as it used to be. I ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, the sauce was thicker than normal and the chicken and rice didn’t taste the same. I also got a Vegetable bowl and it didn’t taste the same either. Not going to go here anymore. If you’re reading this, please find a better place. You’ll thank me later…

I’m sorry to give such a low rating to a restaurant that has become a regular for us over the last 7 years, but last night our dinner was a huge disappointment. The crab Rangoons were so terribly over cooked and overly sweet. We had sesame chicken that had obviously been fried with shrimp or other seafood. The flavor actually was so strong it ruined the dish. In addition it was over cooked to the point of being chewy. We decided we would try the other local Asian restaurant, but then thought we would go back to Hong Kong Restaurant one more time, since they were always so good. It appears that they may have sold to new owners, which may explain the difference in cooking methods. If there is no change, I’m sorry to say we will not be returning in future.

Nice little family owned operation with an extensive menu. 3 cooks working fast to put out food. Had cashew chicken and shrimp chow mein, plus crab rangoon with literally no crab. Rice and veggies were plentiful and good with both dishes, but the absence of chicken and shrimp was very disappointing. 5 tiny shrimp in the chow mein and barely any chicken in that dish, maybe 2 or 3 small pieces and some skins. For the cost it was not worth the money because of the lack of meat or shrimp in the main dishes. Like to support local family businesses but they have to do better to give value for the cost.

The hustle is real! If you blink you will miss this little gem on Pasadena going towards St Pete Beach, but it’s worth the U-turn. Super wonton soup. Crisp, fresh egg rolls. Well spiced and competently prepared entrees. And omg the fried dumplings, so very, very good. No real place to dine in comfort, they specialize in takeout. We were there on a Sunday night and the four employees were busy non stop, filling phone, internet, and walk in orders. If you are on the beach or in the neighborhood craving Chinese, stop here. **Be aware, there is a hand printed sign in the window saying they are closed Mondays.**

Dumpling were very small. The young chow rice was just like the NY style. Love it. The General Tso chicken was fresh and great taste. The egg rolls were grest as well. Thank you

This is supposed to be bourbon chicken. It tastes like old chicken with water and salt over it as the only sauce. Gen Tso’s chicken was equally as terrible. Hot and sour soup was so watered down it was nearly tasteless.

It is an OK take out. If you don’t want to drive and this one will fix your chinese food taste. Out of all the take out, this one is average. For the best, not the worst.
