The food is so good and the waitresses are very nice. I ordered fried green tomatoes for an appetizer not pictured. Their fried green tomatoes are mmm mmm good, seasoned, and fried very well. You get your money’s worth a good portion of food. You won’t be able to finish everything on your plate.

My daughter and I were craving a Chocolate Eruption that we had several years ago. It was so delicious. Since it was crowded, we decided to make it a to go order. I asked for 2 slices and the cashier said $28.24! WHAT? For 2 slices? She said it’s a BIG SLICE. So we decided to at least get one cause they were so good and we remembered we did shared it the last time.

Cute little café near the Square with fast friendly service and an interesting menu. Based on what I ordered I’m giving it a four but from what I saw being delivered to other tables it probably would be a five for most people. I chose chicken crepes, which were two crepes with some plain chopped grilled chicken inside with no sauce on the inside and a little white sauce on top. It did not have a lot of flavor, although if it had a sauce on the inside or a more flavorful sauce on top, it probably would’ve been good. The squash/mixed vegetables that came with it along with the Yukon mashed potatoes were both delicious. I will definitely return and this time I will either get one of their breakfast items or the hamburger. They looked phenomenal or any of the other sandwiches. The people that looked like regulars were ordering along that line and I bet that’s what they really shine at.

Definitely one of my favorite spots in town. Love the private feel of going downstairs and escaping into the more quiet atmosphere especially during a noisy town event. The food selection never disappoints, especially for the kids which I really appreciate, although I think the kids portions definitely need to be bigger. The adult portions certainly are very generous, enough so you will most likely have enough for another meal or to share with a partner if you so choose. My only complaint would be the bananas foster too warm, it melted within seconds and turned into banana soup. Still very tasty, but soup! Everything else great and I’ll definitely be back.

Neat place inside with a unique, underground, location. Unfortunately our server was working lunch alone. But the fried green tomatoes were so AMAZING we will definitely go back! Our burger was decent, kinda wish we’d ordered a different one.

Cool place. Good customer service. Excellent gumbo with a rich, brown roux. Husband had Shrimp and crawfish etoufe, very good, lots of seafood. I had chicken crepes in a garlic mushroom sauce. Really excellent. Skip the rice pilaf served with it. Yuk. They allowed me to substitute a salad for the vegetable medley, so a bonus point there. Nice portions at reasonable price.

With a name like Underground Cafe and an entrance that matches we expected a little different experience. The inside was cafe style for sure with beige everything, local photography on the walls and mismatched tables and chairs. The floor was sticky and the walls need a scrub but the burgers were excellent. Great place for a family lunch and the dinner menu looked promising. Reasonably priced and fast friendly service.

Absolutely amazing experience. First of all , i love the fact that it’s literally underground lol it gives me bunker /storm shelter vibes. Basic decor makes you feel it’s gonna be a “basic”‘ meal but let me tell you it’s anything but BASIC !!!! this place is thriving with great service and food that will have your taste buds dancing ❤️ I ordered the gumbo which was good , great flavor that wasn’t too spicy but wasn’t too mild and was far from bland .. the only complaint I would have is how big the okra was but that’s not really important unless you hate okra . ♀️ my friend got the Philly and literally still praises it lol I got the shrimp and grits y’all ….

We stopped here for dinner while traveling and I am so glad we did! We got the fried green tomato app, shrimp and grits & lobster ravioli entrees, and bananas foster for dessert. I could BATHE in the lobster ravioli sauce and we scraped every single plate clean! I loved the casual atmosphere while getting quality food and good service. We stopped on a Friday night during dinner rush and were still waited on in a timely manner and the food came out pretty quickly. Highly recommend!!!
