This was my first time trying Jamaican food and it did not disappoint! I got the oxtail with cabbage, plantains, rice & peas. My bf got the jerk chicken. Everything was delicious and the staff there are all so nice including the lady at the register. Will def be back for more before our trip ends.

My husband and I were in town spending time with my brother in law who is a retired cop in Ladson and recently suffered a massive stroke. We’d been mostly staying at or around the hospital but decided to go out for a quick dinner Found this unbelievable gem, can’t believe our luck! The staff was so friendly, the food was absolutely amazing (the oxtail was the best I’ve ever had, the jerk chicken was fantastic as well), and extremely reasonable prices especially for the amount and quality of food we received. Highly highly recommend!!!

Smaller restaurant, you can dine in or take out. Staff was super friendly! We had the ox tail, jerk chicken, curried shrimp with rice and peas, collard greens, cabbage and plantains. HUGE portions, we had some and saved the rest for later. Everything was delicious! We will definitely come back when we are back in town to try more items on the menu!!

I’ve been to this restaurant (both franchises) many times. However, I stopper for about 8 months due to the recurring observation that they sell stale meat. I am Jamaican myself and this is the third ordeal I’ve had with them selling stale chicken. The way you know if meat is stale is by the tenderness and texture of it. I had stew chicken with rice and peas yesterday and the rice was delicious, cabbage as well, even the gravy from the chicken but the chicken itself was so stale I couldn’t even have 2 bites. Undeniably tough and hard to chew, the meat wasn’t white or falling off the bone. It was rather brown and hard to remove. I have seen great business plummet because they stop making efforts for their food and I know more people realize this. Both the Moncks Corner location and North Charleston do this same thing where they sell stale meat and bask it in gravy which does absolutely nothing.

Very satisfied. Everything was hot and fresh. My only small complaint is the cashier had a lil attitude that brought the energy of the restaurant down…otherwise Food was superb. I had the jerk chicken plate and wife had the oxtails plate. Will be back!

We were in Charleston for the weekend so I googled, “best Jamaican food near me” and decided to try this spot based on the reviews. I was very impressed and satisfied with our orders. The wait wasn’t long and the food was authentic and delicious! I had the oxtail dinner and my boyfriend had the brown stew chicken. We were both pleased. I’ll definitely be returning to try a few more menu options.I want it all!!!

Really good food, one of those holes in the wall that definitely delivers! Everyday is a different menu, and I wouldn’t think twice about eating there everyday to try the entire menu! Alot of great flavors, friendly and helpful staff, highly recommend going! The drawback is parking is abysmal, neighborhood is sketchy, and presentation is haphazard. Really looking forward to my next trip!
