Good Ole, What-a-Burger. This place gets slammed at lunchtime. it had been a while since I’ve been to one and never been to this location. I beat the heavy rush, but still was about 3ppl deep to order. Got a burger all the way, with bacon and grilles onions. Food was fairly fast since they made it fresh for you. Tasted good, fries were a bit undercooked, but nothing too bad. They have a number of tables and a counter you can sit at. Not very big. Few picnic tables outside but it was raining when I went. Burger, fries, and a drink for just under $16, not too bad. Much better than a McDonald’s or BK burger, almost how mom would have made it at home.

The food was amazing and their service was amazing. The chicken burger was too salty .

This place is good as hell. I ordered today through uber eats. They actually paid attention to the instructions I put in the notes . The burger was good and fresh. Good blend. The fries are thick crinkle cut. Also good. Definitely will order again.

I have been wanting to eat here for years. The customer service was good. The food was freshly made and timely ordered. I just expected more flavor from the crinkled fries and the chicken sandwich. Honestly the waffle house has better chicken sandwiches but whataburger could have great burgers. I just don’t eat beef. I still tipped because I’m a great customer!

Small town comfort food right off the main drag. About the same cost as McDonald’s for superior quality, an obvious popular destination for locals.

This location is probably an old gas station, as the bathrooms are on the outside of the building. Besides that the food is good and the people are awesome. Also the price is very good.

One of three What-a-Burger locations left in VA; one in Newport News, one on Jefferson Davis Hwy, and the Roy’s in Richmond.

This place is lost relic to American burger history. All the food is cooked at the time of ordering, so don’t expect a McDonald’s time turn-around. Crinkle fries and fried pickle chips are part of there staple sides. There milkshakes leave something to be desired. Overall, its a simpler, smaller burger operation that’s worth a try, but it’s definitely not for everyone.
