I love this place! Every Friday I order lunch for the office (45 people) and the only place I will order from is Gencarellis. We order a full blown Italian menu and we also order pizza. All the food is out of this world amazing and huge portions!!! Everyone is super nice, always on time delivery on Fridays. I can say enough good things. I am so happy I found them!

The service was a 5, excellent. The portions were huge for the price which was affordable. The bread they gave us was delicious. The rest of the food was ok. Like I said huge portions and great service. May have needed a little more flavor, but I would go back to try other dishes. They had quite a variety of items to choose from.

The food was very good with the exception of the fried calamari it wasn’t fresh and not fried enough.The eggplant rollatini was very good, and all of our other pasta dishes were very good as well, everything was cooked perfectly. The service was very good. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. This is a BYOB restaurant.

My man and I went here this past Saturday during our weekend vacation to New Jersey. Everyone was so nice and even helped walk us through the menu with so much detail. The cook even came out to greet us and to ensure our food was as expected. We talked,laughed, and never had to ask for condiments,plates,silverware, etc. The portions were huge,the customer service was amazing, and honestly, this was a great experience to end an amazing day of family fun at DreamWorks Waterpark. The place was clean and the vibe just felt like family. I will definitely be coming back here as I enjoyed everything about this experience. Thank you all for everything. For context, we ordered large pepperoni pizza,mozzarella sticks, chicken wings,shrimp and broccoli pasta,chicken parm and pasta,chicken fingers,and salad. Homemade Bread was phenomenal as well.

Dear Gencarellis, you lost a customer today. Customer service means everything! Coming from Brooklyn NY My husband and I been treated to some of the best Pizza anywhere. So when we moved to Lyndhurst a year and 1/2 ago we were on the search for decent Pizza. We settled on Gencarellis. It was not the best, but the best of the worst. We’ve ordered from here several times and even dined in for dinner. The service has always been acceptable and the food is usually hot and cheesy-certainly not flavorful. Today on the way to Shoprite I stopped in to order a personal Pizza. I was the only one waiting. There was a man at the counter working with pizza dough and one coming in from the kitchen, so I was seen. I decided to give it a few more seconds and picked up a menu since there is not one posted anywhere( another pet peeve) No one even acknowledged my presence. My experience yesterday night was absolute delight. It’s a family owned business. Every customer is reoccurring, which has a great feel and touch. The atmosphere was beautiful. I loved it. The food, and waitress made sure we were good and the good was top notch. We ordered garlic knots which was delicious and soft and the pizza was hmmmmm yum! Went to have a few slices with my friend . The owners wife dropped down two slices and a coke . A lot of ice . Slices were good. I went to pay with my card and the owner asks me how much of a tip I was going to put on the card. How upset I was . Will never go back and told everyone I know about the experience. Owners wife gave us two slice and a soda and the husband and owner asks me for a tip. ! I was going to order pies from there when we were eating for the kids birthday party . Boy , they made a very costly error .
