New water view seating very dirty. Bar food atmosphere. Main dining still under construction.Grilled redfish had no favor, apparently frozen. Asked waitress and she told me it was fresh. Baked potato was barely reheated. Too many other fresh seafood restaurants in area. Gave them a chance but will not be returning.

We dined here after a long day on the water. We had a large group. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Nice variety on the menu. They are currently remodeling, and its easy to see how lovely it will be when finished. They are doing a good job to provide continuous service during the renovation. The hostess was kind and welcoming. We will return.

This place is amazing. The view is good. The food is very tasty. Loved everything! The margarita is horrible but the long island is good. The food takes a while to come out but well worth it. We got the sampler appetizer and everything on it was good. The gumbo is a must try. We also ordered the carb trap, Kevin’s stuffed shrimp, soft shell crab maurepas and we loved them all.

First time visiting. App, we ordered crawfish boudan balls, meals ordered were stuffed shrimp dinner ( had only 2 shrimps), kevins stuffed boudan balls, kids chicken basket, and 2 sweet teas, total came to $54 before tip. Overall, the food was very bland by both of our standands, and my sons order did not come until we were all done eating (son just ate off our plate ). Will give this place another try on a different day and different time but not anytime soon

My daughter and I had the Super Yacht plate, just perfect for the 2 of us. Gumbo was excellent, good consistency and temperature, with a substantial amount of shrimp. I hate luke warm, thin gumbo. The fish portions were cooked to perfection, piping hot, meaty and lightly breaded. Jumbo shrimp, the same. And the soft shell crab was fried perfectly and quite tasty. We opted for the sweet potato fries which did not dissapoint. All in all this was a wonderful experience and well under $40, we will definitely be going back!

Great location right on the Amite Diversion in Maurepas. A Cajun seafood-lovers delight! Some of the best gator around. The portions are absolutely huge! Ask for a to-go box as soon as you get your entree. You will need it! The crawfish beignets are fantastic. Just the right amount of crawfish mixed with cheese then lightly fried. The red beans and rice are delicious with a great smokey flavor and just the right amount of spice. So many choices. Can’t wait for my next visit.

It was our first time trying Dicarlos. Called to see if they were open, only to be gleefully answered by a very angelic and uplifting employee. We were impressed before we even got there and then arrived and was welcomed by that gleeful voice on the phone who invited us to come on over to eat. It was extremely slow due to LSU game playing at home and the weather being nasty. There was only one other table when we entered but they soon left. The gleefully welcoming voice was surprising to also be our server. Her name was Anna. We had the house to ourselves and the service was with a smile and one that never went away the whole time we were there. Anna was the greatest server we’ve had as far as I can remember in a very long time. Anyone going here to eat should experience the customer service and hospitality at DiCarlos. You will never forget Anna if you get the privilege of having her make your dinner that much greater.

First off, went in for take out did not have several menu items. Ordered our food only to be told they were out of the item. Wait staff was arguing in front of customers, took 20 min to get 2 simple mix drinks 1 being a bloody Mary the bar tender did not know how to make. It took 40 min for 2 breakfast sandwiches in which the sausage and eggs were over cooked, eggs were scrambled not over easy, and potatoes were under cooked. Along with 2 crawfish etouffee that is pre-made. Do not recommend, will not go back!
