Walked in and read the sign to seat ourselves. We waited for 20 min for someone to realize we were here. Never asked if we wanted a drink until after our food was ordered. Our server couldn’t speak loud enough for either myself or my partner to hear. On top of that there was more chatter between co workers that’s any of the customers. We had no silverware until the food arrived and we were given silverware off a neighboring table. My pasta was under cooked (lobster ravioli) and only came with 6 pieces for $38. My partners food was not seasoned at all (chicken Alfredo). The price on the menu for adding chicken was $8 and on our check showed $9, which isn’t huge but definitely dishonest. No one came back to give us refills until after the check was presented to us. Overall overpriced for minimal food and flavor. Service was absolutely horrible. I would NOT recommend spending your money here!

We went here for the first time with a few friends from out of town. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and service. The lack of gluten free pasta for one of our diners was a small disappointment but not enough to take it down a star. The Chicken Marsala was one of the specials and the only complaint is that it’s not part of the regular dinner menu. Our server Taylor was excellent. It was clear his intent was to provide excellent customer service and he succeeded on every level. We will be back and will recommend this place to our friends.

Extremely overpriced for food more basic than what I cook at home. Not impressed by the cleanliness, food, or service. Portions were not very consistent and the food was not seasoned well at all (and no salt or pepper shakers to help with that either). Server did not return to our table to check on our food until after we had already finished eating. Server then stated they would return with the bill, proceeded to nonchalantly chat with coworkers for over 15 minutes, then finally brought us our bill. Gratuity options started at 20% but servers cannot expect a good tip from their customers when they do not do their job well. Do not recommend and will not be returning.

I have the lobster ravioli everytime and it is the best ravioli I have ever had. The service and atmosphere is amazing and family friendly. Great place to go for celebrations. Our server Kelly was very friendly and helpful with everything.

We had been there before and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and the wines. It was a wonderful experience. This time wasn’t as good. My food wasn’t what I ordered. I got pasta and it was supposed to come with rizo. My husband’s food was good but quite small portions and no side of vegetables for color. It was alfredo on a white plate with no garnish. I will come back because I hope for the service I got the time before.

We really enjoyed the food. I had chicken Alfredo and my wife had the pesto. Only thing we did not like was the meatball. The calamari was really small for the price. Love the decor and building. We will be back.

There are only two places in Rapid that do Italian. Olive Garden which is more Americanized Italian food and Sabatino’s which is authentic Italian food. When you enter the establishment, you are treated right away with a very chilled atmosphere. Dark wood tables with custom lighting that hangs down and shines on your table really sets a pleasant mood for dining. The staff is very courteous and friendly, but a bit soft spoken at times. When you order your meal the food comes out really presented quite nicely along with generous portions. Everything is really done well here from the Lasagna, Manicotti, Salads, Desserts, you name it they don’t disappoint! Now let’s get the money part of this out of the way. This place will not be a frequent dining for most people. This is because the price is quite noticeable here in Rapid City. We don’t have a lot of fine dining places other than Junipers that I can think of. Expect to pay anywhere from $75-$100 for a table of 2! The place also includes an 18% gratuity charge on the check as well. 90% of it goes to the waiter or waitress and the other 10% goes to the bartender. Keep that in mind when deciding how much you want to pay for a tip! This place does everything right for the customer. The atmosphere, the service, the food, the drinks were all on point. This is the best Italian place in Rapid City, SD bar none. When coming here know that you will spend some money, but Sabatino’s makes you feel good about doing it!
