At our Quincy, FL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Staff were friendly, fish was great; sides were warm & not hot. Service was slow due to likely being understaffed. It was not a bad experience, I will say it was better than my two local Captain-D’s restaurants back home.

The food was fresh and hot! The dining room was clean, but the ketchup bottles were Great Value. I was disappointed I couldn’t get tarter sauce without asking at the counter, but that may be a new thing since Covid. This Captain D’s is consistently good!

Such a disappointment. Shocked to see an employee truly not care at all about service. This individual not only ignored and failed to acknowledge our family when entering the establishment but without hesitation, left his post to exit the building and fraternize with someone in a vehicle as we were left in queue. Upon his return we gave him the benefit of a doubt but still failed to greet us and he seemed utterly annoyed with our existence. We still ended up ordering food to go and it just was not good or fresh at all, not to mention the disgusting state of the dining room, soda fountain, and ladies’ room (which has no baby changing station). I will be protesting for a refund and will never set foot in another Captain D’s ever again.

At 3 pm todayI ordered takeout food and I was the only one waiting. There were two employees in the dining area and one cook and they all saw me, but it took 10 minutes before anyone came to take my order and it was only after I asked if anyone was working in the front. Therefore, I want to write a review and also the floors in the establishment were filthy, had dead roaches, food, drink, and just dirty. I love Captain D’s food, but it was an awful embarrassment, and I am so thankful that I had none of my guest with me. I had not gone there to buy my food. The floor was absolutely filthy with food crumbs, dirt, spilled drink and was sticky everywhere you walk. It had dead roaches that had been there so long they were dried up. It was a total embarrassment, and I am so happy. I did not take any of my guest with me to pick up food. I am so sorry I went there to buy food.

Restaurant was dirty. It looked like they had mopped in something soapy and had not rinsed it off. Table and chairs were askew. Table tops were dirty. I had to go to the bathroom and get a wet paper towel to clean my table. Staff was NOT friendly. She kind of grunted at us as we gave our order. She acted like she was miserable and did not want to be there. One employee was sitting in the dining area with a friend. She had jumped in front of us when we were about to order and placed an order for herself. There was no one behind us. She could have taken her turn…I assume that she had just ended her shift. She was still sitting there when we were leaving. The food tasted good but the experience was bad!

Suxs. Slow snd don’t get order right .burns the food. Very disappointing I used to eat there almost every day. Oh they reach out on here to act like they make it right and when you contact them guess what you never hear from them. Sad you have to change where you eat because they don’t care about there customers!!!!!

A healthy alternative to hamburgers, this restaurant is best for drive thru and quick service, but the bathrooms, lobby and dining area was quiet and clean. Still dont have alot of the condiments on the counter.

This place goes the extra mile… and then some!! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more committed fast food restaurant. Whatever they are doing, absolutely needs to continue to be done. If I had cash on hand I would have tipped the man cooking and woman serving the counter- whatever they’re paid- they deserve a raise! We (2 kids + 2 adults) had such fantastic food and amazing service here on 01/28/23. We dined in around noon and from the time we got there to the time we left, we felt taken care of and appreciated. The place was clean, employees kind as can be, and the food super hot and fresh. If I’m ever back out that way I will 100% be stopping back by.

Actually this was the first bad experience I had other than asking for a plain fish and they put the sauce on it but was so graciously replaced it with what I wanted but this time The food wasn’t cooked thoroughly. Was asked to park they was going to bring food out, that didn’t happen. Had to go in and get it. Hungry but disappointed and a waste of money.
