I went on a date here. We had a great time. The tables were a little bit closer to each other than we were used to. It is ok if you’re not moving or getting up often. The servers were all on- point. Different servers were coming out almost every time there was a dish. They came out to introduce the dishes, where they came from, and what is supposed to taste like. It was very informative. We had the chef’s tasting menu with 11 courses. This includes mouth chasers, appetizers, main meat courses, desserts, and mouth cleansers. We got drinks on top of that. There was an option for the chef’s recommended pairing with the 11 courses but we didn’t get that. They have a good wine selection, I wished it was bigger. It is great to support local businesses that are farm-to-table. All the dishes had their flare and unique tastes. If you’re not an explorer of food, the chef’s 11 courses might not be the best choice. We enjoyed it and were grateful to have met the chef that made it all happen.

Myriel packs a lot into a little space. I went for the chef’s tasting menu and every seat was filled. The ambitious menu included perhaps a dozen courses of local, seasonal fare. The foraged greens and slow-crafted foods (such as pickled vegetables, orange kombucha and duck broth) were some of the highlights for me during the 3-hour service. Consider bringing your own stadium cushion seat for the hardwood bench.

Amazing experience start to finish. If you can do the drink pairings, then I would recommend doing so. You’ll get a starter cocktail and then 5 or so wines. The chef and wait staff regularly engaged with the guests and shared details about courses and where items were sourced, as well as explaining the reasoning behind each item in the drink pairing and how it fits with the dish.

Myriel was a lovely choice for a Friday night double date. They utilize a small restaurant space to its fullest capacity, but it feels intimate and familiar, sort of like you are gathering in someone’s dining room. The staff move in and out of the space, tending to the tables, interacting with all of the diners. The chef, Karyn, came out at the beginning of the meal and introduced herself and shared a little bit about the restaurant, the commitment to thoughtfully sourced ingredients and the close relationships that they have with local growers and those raising the animals. The commitment to the local farming economy truly embodies the farm to table concept. Throughout the meal, the chef and dining team would highlight where the ingredients came from, who raised the chicken or the pigs, which vegetables or herbs were found or foraged that morning.

I took the night off as a local Real Estate Advisor to celebrate my birthday with my husband. He did well making a reservation here for the chef’s tasting menu. They don’t share the menu in advance since it’s very seasonal and frequently changes. Here’s a sampling of our experience. The first bite was delectable and it just kept getting better. Very cozy vibe!

An incredible experience accompanied by incredible food. All of the dishes were elegant, tasteful, and tasty. The freshness of the produce also shined through beautifully, and the simple dishes which highlighted a single ingredient or single flavor were easily the best. The atmosphere was simply stunning, too, but part of that might be my bias towards warmly lit small spaces.

3 and a half if I could make it that, 4 cause I might as well round up.

Attended the Yuletide dinner event so the information bellow might not be similar to Myriel’s typical non-seasonal faire.

An incredibly inventive and intimate tasting menu experience. Don’t let the lack of white table cloths fool you – this is a world class experience as enjoyable as an Alinea or Oriole.

Cozy place with great staff, but ultimately disappointing experience. First, even the greatest restaurants with constantly changing menus are able to add a “sample menu” to their website, just to give potential diners an idea what they’re about. In lieu of printing information on the menu, they have the server deliver what seemed like a 20-minute speech trying to explain portion sizes, what dishes can and cannot be shared, etc. Second, although I admire their commitment to locally sourced foods, unfortunately quality/flavor takes a backseat. The charcuterie board just did not deliver. Only two of the cheeses were of great quality; the rest of the board was regrettable. The main courses we had were very good, and the apple pie indeed lived up to the hype.
