Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I placed an order for a Buffalo ranch sandwich and made the combo large. I asked for extra sauce for the buffalo sandwich. Wasn’t until I got home (3 min drive) and noticed the sandwich had little to any sauce and the fries weren’t crisp and was not topped off. I returned the food, and was offered extra sauce but by then food was cold. Got a refund but no apology for the mistake.

So I’m half way down the chicken strip sandwich by the time I notice that it’s completely raw. I just got off my overnight shift for a meal and this is what I get. If you order food during late night hours just make sure it is cooked properly. I not only don’t get to eat my meal, but now I have to worry about food poisoning.

Service has been rather inconsistent as far as quality of service the later in the day I have observed. Example, I’m the last customer on the cashier’s till for the evening apparently. She manages to give my order to the wrong person then proceeded to leave her shift. Didn’t even manage to tell the cashier starting his shift i was waiting for my order. So I’m just here sitting at the drive thru waiting whilst other customer pile behind me waiting on my food. Poor guy started his shift like that. Felt wrong to reprimand him about something he didn’t even know about. Felt wrong to complain, even with a legitimate complaint. Still I waited and finally after sitting in the drive-thru for a total of 45 minutes I finally got my food. By then I had finished my drink. I didn’t give the guy cashier a complaint or side eye or any malice or open hostility. But I didn’t get nothing for my patience either aside from an empty apology. Most companies have no accountability in that regard and to be honest what could I expect really? Society at large has very little accountability. Most large companies see one mistake as a drop in the bucket. Hopefully your not that person. We recognize our mistake then business’s as usual, Everyone one understands but with not ability to help or they are sorry as a passive tactic to diffuse the slight delivered with all the heartfelt sentiment and well meaning of an empty hollow dead stump. All that is left from the exchange is a Salty feeling and a formed expectation that with a choice of dining that I should avoid this location at this time. That despite this one snafu that for the most part my overall experience has been mid but not aweful. I can only forewarned and inform others as a maybe a public service to go with the pretense that the responsibility goes down hill as the Night carries on. Maybe just go home and make a sandwich or go somewhere else.

Whoever the staff is tonight, they are great and definitely deserve a review for going out of their way and making me a delicious chicken taco. It was so delicious, & I’m grateful for the lady who took my order to cater to my want of the chicken taco. It deserves to be on the menu or atleast a chicken taco. I’m thankful for Whataburger and how great the organization is.

Not sure When but Building a Burger 101! Has been done away with- they can’t even spread the mustard out evenly so ever bite taste the same. The old great quality days of Whataburger Are Gone

Whatburger, great burgers made fast. As of 05/30/2023 still great burgers made fast and doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg. The Dr.Pepper shake they have right now is delicious.

Because they had internal miscommunication and I was refferd to corporate to fix the onboarding situation and between those few days after calling and letting them know the issue they would tell me to call the manager or the manager would call me back. They didn’t call me back then was told to call cooperate to fix the onboarding as instructed but the location and then already hired someone . Good place to eat but unprofessional to work. They hired someone after giving the job to me just because the onboarding was having issues that corporate fixed.
