1st time eating here. Just back from a cruise and waiting for our flight. It’s in a storefront. Walked in and was immediately greeted. Must have gotten lucky with timing because it seems like a place that is usually full. Staff was sweet and nice and the food was soooo good. My pancakes were hot, soft, and fluffy. My 7- year old couldn’t making those “mmmm” noises and chasing her French Toast with chocolate milk. Waitress was very attentive and I really enjoyed our dining experience.

Extremely upset. We were asked to wait outside for a table to be prepared for a family of six. When another family came by one of the waitresses just gave the tables we were waiting for away to the other people that came after us and told us we would have to wait even longer. We have eaten here several times before, as we try to support local businesses but will never eat here again after this.

I really enjoyed the “General Lee” with ham. The sausage gravy and biscuit were perfectly prepared and the addition of a slice of ham to the dish was a simple yet profound idea I’ve not seen anywhere else, surprising enough due to how great it worked out. My side of cheese grits to accompany were only ok, but not great. Texturally they were on the spot, but it tasted like they don’t salt them in the cooking process which is always a pet peeve of mine when eating grits out. It was quite busy and the guests seemed to be enjoying themselves. Another one of the downsides was that I ordered coffee and water and only ever received the water, which may have worked out in my favor since I wasn’t charged for it and don’t usually like diner coffee. I’d say very fair prices and just right portion sizes were a couple highlights.
