The food here is amazing and the food comes out quickly!! Our server, Finn, was absolutely the best! He made talking to him so easy and he was very knowledgeable about the menu.

Probably one of the better Filets I have ever had. Done perfectly with a good seat on it. The combination was great. Service was also top notch. One hell of a bourbon selection as well.

The freaking BBQ shrimp may be the best bite I’ve had in Nashville this week. The meatloaf was epic, chicken fried chicken was great except the collards. But all of that is just icing on the cake because our waiter, Braiden, gave excellent service and will absolutely treat you right. Shoutout to you, B!

This place is fantastic! Let me tell you! The food is spot on and sooo well cooked. Oyster choices are lovely. Steaks were perfect! Drinks were well made too. Deviled eggs were just the right spicey. Crab cake was tastey. The pasta and sauce with the fried chicken was super good. But what takes the cake? The servers! They are just so fun and nice and got everything right even in all the chaos at our table! What good sports. I will definitely come back here the next time I’m in Nashville.

Overpriced for what it is, typical for the area of Nashville it is in. If you want an affordable meal here, the fried chicken salad comes with three large cuts of chicken atop a blue-cheese salad and was filling, tasty, and felt satisfying for the price. The chicken is crispy without being crunchy and table hot sauce adds fire. Good Old Fashioned and standard beer prices for downtown Nashville. Others in our party seemed pleased with the oysters and steaks, but the price points here seemed out of alignment with the food itself – that is likely just me though. Try for yourself!

We had a great “Funday Sunday” as locals playing tourists downtown once we arrived at The Southern (we had a couple frustrating experiences prior). Oysters on point and great cocktails. Service was exemplary! Thanks to Reno, John and Andrea we had a really fun afternoon! I left my sunglasses though and I’m sad about that. I’ve e-mailed the GM — hope to hear back soon so I have an excuse to scurry back over to the Southern this evening!

I hosted a private corporate party at the Southern in one of their private rooms. The planning was seemless with their event coordinator. They were kind and empathetic. The space we were in was very nice and big enough to fit 25. They offered us a prix fix dinner option, and every single part was a hit. Their New South Caeser Salad was *chef’s kiss*, and I had the Filet Mignon which legitimately melted in your mouth. My coworker and I shared entrees, and she had the chicken fried chicken, which was so rich and decadent. Dessert was a banana bread pudding that was absolutely to die for. The entire time our server was incredible – quick, responsive, and friendly. Very impressed!
