The Food is honestly out of this world scrumptious! The atmosphere inside and on the outside patio is amazing! It is very comfortable, cool – as in not sweaty hot, and lots of room – especially when it’s very busy I never felt cramped. I must repeat that the food was incredible! I was pleasantly surprised! The chicken was huge and so yummy, the fries were big and thick and NOT greasy – they were my favorite! The pepperoni pizza had 8 slices for 24 bucks and it was everything you want in a pizza! The cheese OMG I can still remember that first bite I was in shock from the hot delicious flavor gooey and scrumptious melting in my mouth all my senses tingling and screaming in delight!!! Yes it was that good! The food was surprisingly really great! The few things that were irritating was no boxes you cannot save any of the food to take with you. I had 3 young kids with me and they couldn’t eat everything, it would have been nice to take for a snack later. The other annoying thing was the pumps with catsup, ranch, mustard, etc all the sauces were all empty and even though I told the employees no one would refill them. That sucked. I love the catsup with fries but I was denied , I did survive obviously!!! Overall I humbly enjoyed this experience at the Cincinnati Zoo! For a fast food place it was really nice.

Overpriced, simply average food and drink…..we were a customer, but only because we had young, hungry children. My recommendation; next time, brown bag it for the entire family ; there are multiple areas to eat as a family; you’ll be much more satisfied, and have $$ for more enjoyable things you need. Coolers and baskets allowed in the zoo…..it’s a short walk back to your car if you don’t want to be burdened with it all day.

I was hoping they would offer composting year round, but apparently not. 🙁 They have gluten free hot dog buns and hamburger buns. The fryer is used only for fries they told us. They offer gluten free packages brownies which are pretty good. They definitely didn’t nail our order, we had some mix ups with cheese and such on the burgers. But the staff was friendly during our visit. The facility seemed clean. The apple something or other burger is very strange! It had apple pie filling on it. I like weird flavor mixes but this was a firm nope for me. I forgot to take a pic of the gf burger before it was mostly eaten. we paid about 15 a person. Not bad, not great. The smiling staff covered a lot of ground with us.

This place was a mad house. Went on a Saturday after typical lunch time. No seating available. Took about a half an hour to get to place our order. The staff seemed overwhelmed and were not friendly. The line to get drinks took about 15 minutes, in addition to the already half hour or so we spent trying to order food. There was no ice available for drinks. The floor was sloppy wet and sticky with zero clean tables. All of the self serve condiments were empty and nobody to refill them. Food was served hot and did taste okay though. The prices are absolutely outrageous, as expected.

Food was way over priced for the quality of food. If it’s your only option like it was ares. Then be ready to spend a fortune for poor or average food. Pizza was subpar. Chicken tenders were fair. Cheese burgers subpar, chicken salad was ok. Fries were the best thing. Attendees were rude and slow. Other guest were rude. Maybe it’d just Ohios attitude I don’t know. Do better

Pretty good for zoo food. Had the cheeseburger and it tasted fresh and hot. The Buffalo chicken tender wrap was also good. The price was less than what I expected for a zoo.

Base Camp Café is a dine in or out on the patio restaurant. There was a line to the front door but line moves fast since most waiting are groups and 2 cashiers taking orders. Pics are just inside the doors.

Too loud. EXPENSIVE FOOD OMG WE SPENT ALMOST 200 FOR 5 PEOPLE. The pizza was meh. The burgers were decent though.

I was pleasantly surprised at how this spot has changed. I have going to the zoo for over 45 years and my children always looked forward to eating at this restaurant in the zoo. Now I’m bringing my grandchildren. The food was hot and the chicken strips were meaty and crisp as well as the fries. The pizza was perfect. It is a little expensive but that’s to be expected. My only issue was the cleanliness of the dining room. There were many dirty tables and that limited the seating for our large family. Other than that I was very pleased.

Terrible food service, my family waited over an hour for fries, a wrap, chicken tenders, and a kid’s meal. On top of it they lost our order and receipt, after we handed it to the employees.
