Charming atmosphere and clean, with friendly service. The overall feel does a good job of approximating the feel of a cafe in France.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at LE TROQUET. For appetizers, she ordered the Onion Soup and I ordered the Calamari; she said the onion soup was one of the best she ever tasted, and my calamari was mouth-watering in a tasty creamy sauce. For entrees, she ordered the Filet En Croute and I ordered the Trout Amandine. Her well-crusted filet was super tender and delicious, with a surprising layer of pate that provided an unexpected but well-balanced flavor. My trout amandine was perfectly cooked – but it was swimming in too much almond butter sauce that was rich and velvety but overwhelming the delicate flavor of the fish; I just moved my fish aside. The vegetable sides on both dishes were perfectly cooked. For dessert, we shared a Profiteroles – it was a sinfully delightful treat. The ambience was very cozy and romantic, service was excellent, and prices were reasonable for such high quality of food. Very highly recommended, even though the tables are very close together.

Absolutely delicious meal within walking of convention center. The building needs repair as the environment doesn’t do justice to the amazing quality of food. Dress light as it’s warm inside but well worth a visit.

It was nice to try something new. The food was not as good as expected, based on the reviews. The escargot was rubbery, the steak was overcooked, and the trout Amandine was actually salmon. The flavors were not bad. The experience was just underwhelming.

A truly memorable experience and a hidden gem in downtown Albuquerque. It would be very easy to overlook this place. I think the ownership has done a great job keeping the exterior very understated. The inside is quaint and beautiful and the food is absolutely delicious. I got to attend a private party where a vendor at a conference it was attending rented the restaurant out. We got to try everything from the lovely potato leek soup to lamb chops and escargot. They also have a great selection of French lager beers. Highly recommended!

Truly a little French bistro in the ABQ business distrct, with an intimate atmosphere. Reservations definitely required. The fresh scallops were a delicious treat. Very nice wine selection too. Excellent service.

One of the best meals I’ve had in ages. I had the pork tenderloin, my wife had the scallops. The pork was fantastic, but the scallops were unbelievable, she’s so much smarter than me. Desert was great, just an amazing place.

I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. The rating of 4 to 5 stars is definitely misleading. I initially went to read more reviews in hopes of confirmation of my poor experience and some of the 3 star reviews state clearly that it not a restaurant to try (I wish I had noticed them earlier).
