First time here. Don’t know why I haven’t been here until today!? Outstanding! The menu automatically draws you in. Very creative! I got the trailhead dog. Very good. Hush puppies. very good. Everything was very good. Broccoli salad,, amazing. Service was just as good. Inside was super clean as well. I can’t wait to go back and try new stuff!! I highly recommend this place!

I was passing through Hickory and spotted this place. Staff was very friendly and welcoming and offered good suggestions. Obviously, I chose the 2 dog combo. Food was quick and delicious. Toppings on the dogs were generous without being overbearing. I’m not usually a crinkle cut fry person, but these were well-seasoned and the secret sauce dip they brought out was a nice mix of tangy and sweet. I would definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

I wanted to like this place so much, I love hotdogs. first off I want to say the people were very nice! The service was fast! They tried so hard but the food just wasn’t that good. We got all the way hotdogs the slaw had very little flavor and the chili could have been from an industrial sized can. I also had a chili and pimento cheese hotdog, the pimento cheese was very weird. My wife had the loaded bbq nachos which were good, the pulled pork itself was very tasty. The problem with the nachos was the cheese sauce had a sweetness and the bbq sauce had a sweetness too so it became to sweet in the end. I would try them again for other things besides the hotdogs (the bbq or brisket) they also had good sounding sandwhiches. I’m sure there’s things on they’re menu that would be rated a 5/5.

Let me start by saying this place has a million wonderful gluten free options. And all are very tasty. The lady that waited on me was very kind. She said they make pretty much everything on sight. Super great place to visit and get some food that’s delicious.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I think Charlie Graingers has the best value hot dog in Hickory and surrounding area. I ate there before in downtown, but it had been awhile, so we visited yesterday. I am a big fan of hot dogs and have eaten many of them from different joints around. I ordered the Wildcat Footlong and was very pleased. The dog was generously topped, and I will say by appearance I thought it may be a little “underfired” for my taste, however.. That was not the case, it was flavorful and juicy, chili was excellent as well. Not trying to throw shade, but I know some other places in the area that advertise themselves as hot dog places that Charlie Graingers put to shame yesterday. Thanks ya’ll, I’ll be back, you did me proud. <3

Maybe it was an off day, but my experience was far from exceptional. The people were nice and the food came out quick, but the latter is probably the reason why the food itself was not good. I got two different types just to sample the menu as it was my first time there. I got a brisket sandwich and the new wings. The brisket was next to flavorless, and the cheese sauce they put on it was obviously canned and bland. Mine had chili as well and that was nothing to write home about either. The wings were equally bland and overall taste was lacking. I had been wanting to go since I moved into the area a year prior, and I’m sad to say I will likely not be returning.

First time trying this place with my wife and we loved it! We love their hotdogs and the nacho with brisket was awesome! We will be back and hopefully try their soups and bbq plate next time.
