So… This place blew some socks right off. Just amazing choices from beginning to the end. Who’d have thought the balsamic in the olive oil with the freshly baked rolls would start an avalanche of good flavors. Appetizers set the tone. The watermelon, mussels and stuffed squash blossoms were just fantastic. Be THEN the seafood soup, veal, duck Bolognese followed. We might as well have had a turntable as we rotated each experience for all to enjoy. Finally, the desserts… Tiramisu cheesecake (OMG), the creamsicle (blood orange and vanilla gelato), fruit & crepes.

La Soffitta always amazes me with their pasta dishes like a classic spaghetti and meatball, as well as their desserts and oh my, you must taste their eggplant fries when they are on the menu, truly delightful!

Nice ambiance and service. Prices are of course on the higher side but worth it. Food tasted good. The drinks were nice too. I ordered a prosecco mojito and it was very refreshing after a long beach day. My fiance loved the chicken dish he ordered which was something spicy. Definitely recommend the restaurant.

Food and service was amazing. We sat on the heated patio due to COVID which turned out just as lovely. I highly recommend the grilled shrimp appetizer.

The food was awful. My friend got the duck carbonara and she literally was able to pick up all of the pasta in the bowl with her fork because it was so congealed. I ordered the ribeye and it was the thinnest I’ve ever seen and I could tell it was previously frozen. We wanted to speak with the chef but he made us wait 20 minutes while he continued his conversation with his friends who were dining there (they took their food to go – not a big surprise) . The bread was good.

La Soffitta hands down the best restaurant in Vineyard Haven! As far as MV goes it could very well be #1. The food is AMAZING. One must understand as a person/family who like(s) to dine out, La Soffitta has met and exceeded all expectations, constantly.

Went here with my boyfriend. Would NOT recommend. Our drinks we ordered did not have the vodka they said they would have on the menu. The tortellini was over cooked, and the dish itself was not what was described on the menu. The cod is not good, I only ate the vegetables. Atmosphere isn’t enjoyable, no view at all. You can get a lot more for your money elsewhere. Very disappointing.

Lovely restaurant on Main Street in Vineyard Haven. Cool place and excellent service. The bread is phenomenal. I know – who talks about bread. It is amazing. Calamari was good, very light batter, not greasy, great spicy marinara. Lobster thermidor gnocchi was awesome with lots of lobster. Spaghetti Vongole was plentiful, but the clams were too salty. Overall, a very nice dining experience.
